Rina Takeda, Shogo Hama, and Toshiyuki Someya are cast in movie “Napoleon and Me.” The film is a fantasy/romantic-comedy with Rina Takeda playing main character Haruko Oohara. She has never known true happiness, but a figure named Napoleon appears and tells her he will help to find happiness.
“Napoleon and Me” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.

Aya Omasa is cast the lead role in live-action WOWOW drama series “Enjoy Drinking Alone.” The drama series is based on manga series “Hitori de Nomeru Mon!” by Misato Konari. For the drama series, Aya Omasa will play Mei Benikawa. She is beautiful and has a successful work career that leads to her co-workers being jealous of her, but she enjoys treating herself to a drink & meal at a nearby inexpensive restaurant.

Main cast announced for Netflix drama series “The House of Paper” (working title). The drama series is a remake of Spanish television series “Money Heist” (“La casa de Papel”), which also streamed on Netflix. The script will reinterpret the original drama series and have it set in South Korea. Now cast for lead roles in the drama series are Yoo Ji-Tae, Kim Yunjin, Park Hae-Soo, Jun Jong-Seo, Lee Won-Jong, Park Myoung-Hoon, Kim Sung-Oh, Kim Ji-Hoon, Jang Yoon-Ju, Lee Joo-Bin, Park Jung-Woo, Kim Ji-Hoon, and Lee Kyu-Ho. Actor Yoo Ji-Tae will play the role of the Professor, who schemes an elaborate heist. Kim Yunjin will play Sun Woo-Jin, who leads the crisis negotiation team at the National Police Agency. The 8 recruited members for the Professor’s robbery team who take city names are: Park Hae-Soo (“Berlin”), Jun Jeong-Seo (“Tokyo”), Lee Won-Jong (“Moscow”), Kim Ji-Hoon (“Denver”), Jang Yoon-Ju (“Nairobi”), Park Jung-Woo (“Rio”), Kim Ji-Hoon (“Helsinki”) and Lee Kyu-Ho (“Oslo”).

Ji Jin-Hee and Yoon Se-Ah will play a married couple. Kim Hye-Eun will play TV Announcer Cha Seo-Young.

Lee Ha-Na and Song Seung-Heon are cast in OCN drama series “Voice 4.” The drama series is a continuation of the Voice drama series that first began in 2017. Lee Ha-Na will reprise her character of Kang Kwon-Joo. She works as the team leader of the 112 emergency call center. Meanwhile, Song Seung-Heon will play new character Derek Jo. He worked for the LAPD in Los Angeles, before coming to South Korea and teaming up with Kang Kwon-Joo.

Ruka Ishikawa and Yuzu Aoki are cast the lead roles live-action film “A Girl on the Shore” (literal title). The film is based on manga series “Umibe no Onnanoko” by Inio Asano (“Solanin“) and directed by Atsushi Ueda (“School Girl’s Gestation“). The film is set in a small town on the shore and follows two teens who enter into a casual relationship.
“A Girl on the Shore” will be released August 20, 2021 in Japan.
