Pyo Ye-Jin cast in SBS drama “Taxi Driver”

Actress Pyo Ye-Jin is cast in SBS drama series “Taxi Driver” starring Lee Je-Hoon & Esom. Pyo Ye-Jin will replace Lee Na-Eun, who was first cast to play the role of Go Eun. Lee Na-Eun recently dropped out of the drama series due to bullying accusations made by the younger brother of a former bandmate in music group “April.” The character of Go Eun in “Taxi Driver” is an employee of Rainbow Taxi Company. She is also a skilled hacker and she lost her family to a criminal act.

“Taxi Driver” will first air April 9, 2021 in South Korea.

Main poster & air date for JTBC drama “Law School”

Main poster and ep.1 air date added for JTBC drama series “Law School” starring Kim Myung-Min, Kim Beom, and Ryoo Hye-Young. Ep.1 of “Law School” is now scheduled to air April 14, 2021 in South Korea. The drama series will take over JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 9PM time slot after “Sisyphus: The Myth.” Meanwhile, the main poster features 10 cast members: Kim Myung-Min, Kim Beom, Ryoo Hye-Young, Lee Jung-Eun, Lee Soo-Kyung, David LeeKo Yoon-Jung, Hyun WooGil Hae-Yeon and Oh Man-Seok. Kenshi Okada cast in TV Asahi drama “Cherry Blossom’s Tower”

Kenshi Okada is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Cherry Blossom’s Tower” (literal title) starring Hiroshi Tamaki & Ryoko Hirosue. For the drama series, which is set at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Kenshi Okada will play Detective Asuma Togashi. He works well as a detective and gets noticed for his work by Ren Kamijo’s (Hiroshi Tamaki) attention. 

“Cherry Blossom’s Tower” will air April, 2021 in Japan.

Park Min-Young & Song Kang offered lead roles in JTBC drama “Office Romance Cruelty”

Park Min-Young and Song Kang have been offered lead roles in new JTBC drama series “Office Romance Cruelty” (literal title). Currently both performers are “considering” their offers. The drama series will be directed by Cha Young-Hoon (“When the Camellia Blooms“). The drama series will be set at the Korea Meteorological Administration.

“Office Romance Cruelty” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Main poster updated for music film “The Box” starring Chanyeol (EXO) & Jo Dal-Hwan. The film revolves around a music producer and a street performer who can only sing when wears a box. Caption on the main poster asks “Where do we go to now?” The launching teaser trailer for the movie can be viewed at AsianWiki and below are two character posters for the movie.

Trailer & poster for live-action film “Kakegurui Part 2”

Trailer and poster added for live-action film “Kakegurui Part 2” starring Minami Hamabe & Mahiro Takasugi. The Japanese title for the movie is now also set as “Eiga Kakegurui Zettai Zetsumei Russian Roulette.” The theme song for the film has also been announced as “Checkmate” by singer Milet. Theme song “Checkmate” plays in the movie’s trailer as well.

“Kakegurui Part 2” will be released April 29, 2021 in Japan.

First script reading for KBS2 drama “The Chronicle of Haunted Real Estate”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “The Chronicle of Haunted Real Estate” (working title), starring Jang Na-Ra & Jung Yong-Hwa, took place December 28, 2020 at KBS Annex Building in Yeouido, Seoul. For lead male actor Jung Yong-Hwa, this is his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military on November 3 2019. The first script reading was attended by main actors Jang Na-Ra, Jung Yong-Hwa, Kang Mal-Geum, Kang Hong-Suk Ahn Kil-Kang, Heo Dong-Won, and director Park Jin-Suk.

In addition, “The Chronicle of Haunted Real Estate” is now scheduled to first air April 14, 2021 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30 PM time slot after “Hello, Me!“).
