Main trailer and poster added for movie “Shadow Work” starring Riho Yoshiokma, Nao, and Jun Miho. The suspense crime film is based on 2022 novel “Shadow Work” by Hiromi Sano. Meanwhile, the theme song for the movie has been revealed as “Tiny End” written & composed by Haruka Nakamura and performed by Meadow. The theme song Tiny End is also featured in the main trailer.
“Shadow Work” will be released September 25, 2026 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Noriko (Riho Yoshioka) has been physically abused by her husband and he even told her that he might kill her the next time. She feels hopeless in her marriage. At that time, Nurse Michiko (Jun Miho), who runs a shelter, reaches out a hand to save Noriko. The shelter is situated in a Japanese traditional house and is also shared by Akie (Jun Fubuki), Shinobu (Wakana Sakai), Nami (First Summer Uika) and Rin (Emi Satsuki). These women call the shelter their home. The home is governed by rotation rules that covers things like eating, cleaning, and living their daily lives.
Noriko gradually regains peace in her life, protected by routine. But, Noriko somehow starts to feel a sense of unease. Meanwhile, Detective Kaoru (Nao) investigates a case that has connections to the home.
