Park Ha-Sun cast in MBC drama series “Black Sun”

Park Ha-Sun is cast for the lead female role in MBC drama series “Black Sun,” co-starring Namkoong Min. Actress Kim Ji-Eun is also cast to play supporting character. The drama series revolves around a crime information center team. Park Ha-Sun will play Seo Soo-Yeon, who is the leader of the crime information center team. Her relationship with former NIS agent Han Ji-Hyuk (Namkoong Min) is not clear.

“Black Sun” will air sometime during summer, 2021 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for JTBC drama “Missing Child”

Teaser trailer added for JTBC drama special “Missing Child” starring Park Hyuk-Kwon & Jang So-Yeon. The teaser trailer begins with Park Hyuk-Kwon stating “I am his father. There’s no way I can’t recognize my son’s face. I have been looking for him over 10 years. Please” and (0:26) “It’s you Sung-Min right? I’m your father.”  

“Missing Child” consists of 2 episodes and will air March 22 & 23, 2021 in South Korea.

Yuina Kuroshima cast in NHK drama”Chimudondon”

Yuina Kuroshima is cast in NHK drama series “Chimudondon.” The drama series is NHK’s 106th asadora (morning drama series). In “Chimudondon,” Yuina Kuroshima will play main character Nobuko Higa. She moves from Okinawa to Tokyo to become a cook of western food. She eventually decides to open a Okinawa cuisine restaurant in Tokyo.

Filming for “Chimudondon” will begin autumn, 2021 and the drama series will air from spring, 2022 in Japan.

Movie “Seobok” set for release April 15th

Movie “Seobok,” starring Gong Yoo & Park Bo-Gum, is now set for release April 15, 2021 in South Korea. The movie will be released simultaneously in theaters and online streaming platform TVing. “Seobok” was originally scheduled for release December, 2020, but was delayed to the Covid-19 outbreak. TVing is an online streaming platform for the South Korean market, that is a joint partnership between CJ Entertainment (distributor of “Seokbok”) and JTBC.

Tori Matsuzaka, Kumiko Aso, & Arata Iura cast in TV Asahi drama “Ano Toki Kiss Shite Okeba”

Tori MatsuzakaKumiko Aso, and Arata Iura are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Ano Toki Kiss Shite Okeba.” The drama series is scripted by Shizuka Oishi (“Your Home is My Business!“) and directed by Keita MotohashiKen HigurashiYuki Saito. Tori Matsuzaka will play main character Nozomu Momochi. He works at a supermarket and is a big manga fan. Kumiko Aso will play manga writer Tomoe Yuizuki. Arata Iura will play two characters.

“Ano Toki Kiss Shite Okeba” first airs April, 2021 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Friday 11:15 PM time slot after “24 Japan“).

Teaser trailer #3 added for tvN drama series “Navillera” starring Park In-Hwan & Song Kang. Captions in teaser trailer #3 state (0:10) “Seventy, began challenge” and (0:17) “23, Wandering began.” Narration has Park In-Hwan stating at the beginning of the teaser “I’ve never done what I wanted to do,” followed by Song Kang’s voice (0:09) “I don’t know if what you said is cursed, but I don’t live well. Ai Yoshikawa and Rihito Itagaki are cast in NTV-YTV live-action drama series “Colorful Love.” The drama series is based on manga series “Genderless Danshi ni Aisareteimasu” by Tameko. Ai Yoshikawa will play unstylish editor Wako Machida and Rihito Itagaki will play stylish model Meguru Soma. They get into a romantic relationship.

“Colorful Love” first airs April 1, 2021 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Thursday 23:59 time slot after “Edomoiselle“).

Character trailer & poster added movie “Kiba: The Fangs of Fiction”

Character trailer and new poster added for movie “Kiba: The Fangs of Fiction” starring Yo Oizumi, Koichi Sato, & Mayu Matsuoka. The film is based on novel “Damashie no Kiba” by Takeshi Shiota and directed by Daihachi Yoshida (“The Kirishima Thing“). The auther Takeshi Shiota has stated he wrote the story with the idea of Yo Oizumi playing the lead male character.

“Kiba: The Fangs of Fiction” will be released March 26, 2021 in Japan.
