Lee Joon-Gi, Jang Dong-Gun, Shin Se-Kyung, & Kim Ok-Vin cast in tvN drama “Arthdal Chronicles 2”

Lee Joon-Gi, Jang Dong-Gun, Shin Se-Kyung, and Kim Ok-Vin are cast in tvN drama series “Arthdal Chronicles 2.” Lee Joon-Gi and Shin Se-Kyung are replacing Song Joong-Ki and Kim Ji-Won from season 1 of “Arthdal Chronicles” and will play the characters of Eunseom and Tanya respectively. Jang Dong-Gun and Kim Ok-Vin will reprise their characters Tagon and Taealha in season 2. Above and below are the first still images of the four leads in “Arthdal Chronicles 2.”

“Arthdal Chronicles 2” first airs sometime next year in South Korea.

Nanao & Nobuyuki Suzuki cast in Fuji TV drama “Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja.”

Nanao and Nobuyuki Suzuki are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja.” The ninja romantic-comedy screenplay is based on 2022 novel “Ninja ni Kekkon wa Muzukashii” by Dai Yokozeki (“Lupin’s Daughter“) and directed by Masato Hijikata (“The After-Dinner Mysteries“). For the drama series, Nano and Nobuyuki Suzuki will play a married couple. They both hold a secret that they are a ninja and they are unaware of their partner’s secret. They also come from rival ninja families.

“Marriage Is Difficult For A Ninja” will first air January, 2023 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Thursday 10PM time slot after “Silent“).

Shin Hye-Sun & Ahn Bo-Hyun cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “See You in My 19th Life.”

Shin Hye-Sun & Ahn Bo-Hyun are cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “See You in My 19th Life.” Also cast for major supporting character roles are Ha Yoon-Kyung & Ahn Dong-Goo. The drama series is based on webcomic “See You in My 19th Life” by Lee Hye. The fantasy-romance screenplay will have Shin Hye-Sun play Ban Ji-Eum, a woman who has reincarnated into her 19th life. In her previous 18th life and as a kid, she knew a boy and became close to him. She meets him again in her 19th life. That man is named Moon Seo-Ha and played by Ahn Bo-Hyun. Ha Yoon-Kyung will play the younger sister of the lead female character from her 18th life. Ahn Dong-Goo will play the secretary of lead male character Moon Seo-Ha.

“See You in My 19th Life” will first air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Trailer and teaser poster for Disney+ drama “Connect”

Trailer and teaser poster added for Disney+ drama series “Connect” starring Jung Hae-In, Ko Kyoung-Pyo, & Kim Hye-Jun. The drama series is based on webcomic “Connect” by Shin Dae-Sung and directed by Takashi Miike (“Crows Zero“). This is the first Korean based drama series directed by Takashi Miike. The sci-fi’ish thriller script has Jung Hae-In playing Ha Dong-Soo. He is part of a new human race known as connect. His eye is stolen from him by human organ traffickers and placed into a serial killer played by Ko Kyoung-Pyo.

“Connect” is now set for release December 7, 2022 in South Korea. All 6 episodes will be available to stream on that day.

Kim So-Hyun cast in drama “Useless Lies”

Kim So-Hyun is cast in new drama series “Useless Lies” (literal title). Drama series will be directed by Nam Sung-Woo (“Love in Contract“). Meanwhile, singer-actor Minhyun (NU’EST) has received an offer to play the lead male role and he is currently “positively considering” the offer. In “Useless Lies,” Kim So-Hyun will play a young woman with a special ability to tell when someone is lying. She views her ability as a curse, as it destroys her ability to have trust in other people.

“Useless Lies” will air sometime next year in South Korea. Broadcast network/OTT platform for the drama series has not yet been decided.

English subtitled teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part II” starring Yoo Ji-Tae, Kim Yunjin, & Park Hae-Soo. The 6 episode drama series follows “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” that was released on Netflix earlier this year. The teaser trailer also introduces new character “Seoul” played by Lim Ji-Yeon.

Takuya Kimura cast in Fuji TV drama “Kazama Kimichika: Kyojo Zero”

Takuya Kimura is cast in Fuji TV drama series “Kazama Kimichika: Kyojo Zero.” The drama series is based on Hiroki Nagaoka’s novels “Kyojo 0: Keiji Shidokan Kazama Kimichika” & “Kyojo X: Keiji Shidokan Kazama Kimichika.” The drama series is also a prequel to 2020 Fuji TV Drama special “Kyojo” and 2021 Fuji TV drama special “Kyojo 2.” In the drama series, Takuya Kimura works as a detective instructor. He is paired with a rookie detective to investigate real murder cases.
