Mizuki Inoue & Rinka Kumada cast in live-action film “Otona-Najimi”

Mizuki Inoue (HiHi Jets) and Rinka Kumada are cast in live-action film “Otona-Najimi.” The film is based on manga series “Otona Najimi” by Aya Nakahara (“Love Complex“) and directed by Hiroto Takahashi (“Heart Beats“). For “Otona-Najimi,” Mizuki Inoue & Rinka Kumada will play two young adults who have been friends and neighbors for most of their lives. The girl has liked the boy for most of that time, but he seems unaware of her feelings.

“Otona Najimi” will be released May 12, 2023 in Japan.

First teaser trailer for SBS drama “The First Responders”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “The First Responders” starring Kim Rae-Won, Son Ho-Jun, & Gong Seung-Yeon. The drama series follows fire fighters and police officers who have offices next to each other and also work together on cases. Captions on the teaser trailer states (0:03) “When crisis hits, come first” and (0:10) “First responder’s story.”

“The First Responders” first airs November 12, 2022 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday & Saturday  10 PM time slot “One Dollar Lawyer“).

Teaser posters & release date for movie “Men of Plastic”

Teaser posters and release date set for movie “Men of Plastic” starring Ma Dong-Seok & Jung Kyoung-Ho. The comedy-drama film is set in the high end neighborhood of Apgujeong in Seoul, South Korea. Ma Dong-Seok plays Dae-Guk, who is a native of the neighborhood. He teams up with surgeon Ji-Woo (Jung Kyung-Ho) to start a plastic surgery business in the area.

“Men of Plastic” is now set for release sometime this November in South Korea.

The drama series is now set to air from November 26, 2022 and will consist of 4 episodes. The teaser posters shows the relationship of Han Gang-Hee (Sooyoung), Bang Jung-Seok (Yoon Park) and Bang Jung-Seok’s daughter Bang Yoo-Na (Shin Yeon-Woo).  Han Gang-Hee is a top actress and Bang Jung-Seok’s daughter is her big fan. Lee Sang-Yeob & Kim So-Hye cast in KBS2 drama “Pure Boxer”

Lee Sang-Yeob & Kim So-Hye are cast in KBS2 drama series “Pure Boxer” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2014 novel “Soonjungboxer Leekwonsook” by Chu Jong-Nam and is set in the sports world. Lee Sang-Yeob will play cold-blooded sports agent Kim Tae-Young. Kim So-Hye will play former boxing prodigy Lee Kwon-Sook. Kim Tae-Young attempts to bring Lee Kwon-Sook back to boxing for reasons that are unscrupulous.

“Pure Boxer” will air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Hee-Soon cast in Netflix drama “Family Gravesite”

Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Hee-Soon, Park Byung-Eun, & Ryoo Kyung-Soo are cast in Netflix drama series “Family Gravesite” (literal title). The drama series is scripted by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“) and directed by Min Hong-Nam (assistant director in “Train To Busan“). As the title suggests, the drama series revolves around a family gravesite that seems to cause disturbing events for Yoon Seo-Ha (Kim Hyun-Joo) and the village where it is situated. Park Hee-Soon will play Detective Choi Sung-Joon, who investigates. Park Byung-Eun will play Park Sang-Min. He is the chief of the detective squad where Choi Sung-Joon works. Ryoo Kyung-Soo will play Kim Young-Ho. He is the younger stepbrother of Yoon Seo-Ha.

Release date for the drama series has not yet been announced.
