Teaser trailer 2 for tvN drama “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow”

Teaser trailer #2 added for tvN drama series “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow” starring Lee Jae-Wook & Ko Yoon-Jung. The teaser begins with Jang Uk (Lee Jae-Wook) stating “I wasn’t able to keep the promise to the one person. I can’t protect anyone.” The teaser trailer then shows other leading characters including Ko Yoon-Jung as Naksu.

“Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow” first airs December 10, 2022 in South Korea.

Chae Jong-Hyeop cast in drama “Is It a Coincidence?”

Chae Jong-Hyeop is cast for the lead male role in drama series “Is It a Coincidence?” (literal title) co-starring Kim So-Hyun. For the drama series, which is based on webcomic  “Wooyeonilgga?” by Nam Ji-Eun, Chae Jong-Hyeop will play Kang Hu-Young. He is the first love of Lee Hong-Ju (Kim So-Hyun). He immigrated to the United States sometime after high school. He returns to South Korea and meets Lee Hong-Ju for the first time in 10 years.

Filming or ” Is It a Coincidence?” will begin soon.

Main trailer for movie “Motherhood”

Main trailer added for movie “Motherhood” starring Erika Toda & Mei Nagano. The trailer starts about 15 seconds after showing highlights from the cast appearing at the 2022 Tokyo International Film Festival. Erika Toda begins the trailer by stating “I was wrong.” The film tells the story of an unsolved case from the different perspectives of the mother and daughter. The movie is based on 2012 novel “Bosei” by Kanae Minato (“Confessions“).

“Motherhood” will be released November 23, 2022 in Japan.

First teaser poster & air date set for SBS drama “Trolley”

First teaser poster and December 19, 2022 air date set for SBS drama series “Trolley” starring Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Hee-Soon, and Kim Moo-Yul. Caption on the teaser poster states “There;s something that no one can even imagine.” The drama series has Kim Hyun-Joo play a wife who holds a secret. Her husband , played by Park Hee-Soon, is a member of the national assembly.

“Trolley” will take over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after the completion of “Cheer Up.”

Kang So-Ra &c Jang Seung-Jo cast in ENA drama “Can We Be Strangers”

Kang So-Ra and Jang Seung-Jo are cast in ENA drama series “Can We Be Strangers” (literal title). The drama series is set at a law firm that specializes in divorce and has Kang So-Ra and Jang Seung-Jo play lawyers. They are also ex-spouses and meet again as colleagues. For Kang So-Ra, this will be her first starring role in a drama series since 2017 tvn drama series “Revolutionary Love.” She got married in 2020 and had her first child in April, 2021.

“Can We Be Strangers” first airs January, 2023 in South Korea.

Mao Inoue, Takeru Satoh, & Kenichi Matsuyama cast in TBS drama “100 mankai Ieba Yokatta”

Mao Inoue, Takeru Satoh, and Kenichi Matsuyama are cast in TBS drama series “100 mankai Ieba Yokatta.” The drama series features an original fantasy-romance screenplay by Naoko Adachi (“What Did You Eat Yesterday?“). In the drama series “100 mankai Ieba Yokatta,” Mao Inoue and Takeru Satoh will play Yui Soma and Naoki Torino. They are a couple in love and the boyfriend is about to propose, but he gets into an incident and dies. Yui Soma is unaware that Naoki Torino has died. His spirit is still wanders around and the only person aware of his spirit is a detective played by Kenichi Matsuyama.

“100 mankai Ieba Yokatta” will first air January, 2023 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Friday 10PM time slot after “The Black Swindler”).

Supporting cast members announced for movie “Harbin”

Supporting cast members have been announced for upcoming movie “Harbin” starring Hyun-Bin and directed by Woo Min-Ho (“Inside Men“). Now cast for the film are Park Jung-Min, Jo Woo-Jin, Jeon Yeo-Bin, Yoo Jae-Myung, & Park Hoon. The film is set in the early 20th century, when Korea was under Japanese occupation. All the newly announced cast members will play real historical persons who were part of the independence movement. Park Jung-Min will play Woo Deok-Soon, Jo Woo-Jin will play Kim Sang-Hyun, Jeon Yeo-Bin will play Madam Gong, Yoo Jae-Myung will play Choi Jae-Hyeong, and Park Hoon will play Datsuo Mori.

Filming for the movie will start November 20, 2022 and will take place in South Korea, Latvia, and Mongolia. The traditional gosa ceremony (Buddhist ritual to bring about good fortune) that takes place prior to filming took place November 14, 2022.

Main trailer for TVING drama “Work Later, Drink Now 2”

Main trailer added for TVING drama series “Work Later, Drink Now 2” starring Lee Sun-Bin, Han Sun-Hwa, & Jung Eun-Ji. Drama series is based on webcomic “Soolkkundoshicheonyeodeul” by Mikkang and is a sequel to 2021 TVING drama series “Work Later, Drink Now.” The main trailer for season 2 begins with Choi Si-Won stating “I really didn’t even imagine this.” The trailer then shows the three female leads going on a trip into the mountains.

“Work Later, Drink Now 2” will be available to stream from December 9, 2022 in South Korea.

Character posters and December 21, 2022 release date set for Disney+ drama series “Casino” starring Choi Min-Sik, Son Suk-Ku, & Lee Dong-Hwi. The character posters are of the three main characters: Choi Min-Sik as Cha Mu-Sik, Son Suk-Ku as Oh Seung-Hoon, and Lee Dong-Hwi as Jung-Pal. Captions on the character posters states “The last bet, risking their life.” That singular caption refers to Choi Min-Sik’s character of Cha Mu-Sik. While trying to get out of his desperate situation, he places a final bet with his life on the line.
