Kim Soo-Hyun & Kim Ji-Won cast in drama “Queen Of Tears”

Kim Soo-Hyun & Kim Ji-Won are cast in new drama series “Queen Of Tears” (working & literal title). The drama series is scripted by Park Ji-Eun, who worked with Kim Soo-Hyun in 2014 SBS drama series “My Love From the Star” and most recently scripted in 2020 tvN drama series “Crash Landing on You.” The screenplay will tell a romance story, that will also touch the hearts of viewers. Jang Young-Woo (“Bulgasal: Immortal Souls“) and Kim Hee-Won (“Little Women“) will direct the drama series.

Filming for “Queen of Tears” will begin in the first half of 2023 and the drama series will air sometime in the second half of 2023.

Ep.1 trailer for tvN drama “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow”

Ep.1 trailer added for tvN drama series “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow” starring Lee Jae-Wook and Ko Yoon-Jung. The drama series follows “Alchemy of Souls,” which aired earlier this year and will have actress Ko Yoon-Jung move into the lead female spot as Naksu. Narration in the ep.1 trailer has Ko Yoon-Jung stating (0:09) “Sin of being alive” and Lee Jae-Wook stating (0:10) “Sin that shouldn’t exist, but exists.”

“Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow” first airs December 10, 2022 in South Korea.

Hwang Jung-Min and Jung Hae-In cast in “Veteran 2”

Hwang Jung-Min and Jung Hae-In are cast for lead roles in sequel film “Veteran 2.” Hwang Jung-Min will reprise his role of Detective Seo Do-Cheol and Jung Hae-In will play new character Park Sun-Woo. Jung Hae-In’s new character of Park Sun-Woo is scripted as a young detective who joins the violent crime investigation team led by Seo Do-Cheol (Hwang Jung-Min). The film is a sequel to 2015 movie “Veteran,” which starred Hwang Jung-Min and Yoo Ah-In.

Also cast in “Veteran 2” are Oh Dal-Su, Jang Yoon-Ju, Oh Dae-Hwan, and Kim Shi-Hoo. All four of these actors appeared in the original 2015 movie “Veteran” as supporting characters and they will play the same roles in the sequel film. Director Ryoo Seung-Wan also returns to helm the sequel film. Filming for “Veteran 2” will begin December, 2022 and the release date for the film has not yet been announced.

Teaser trailer for KBS2 drama “Brain Works”

First teaser trailer added for KBS2 drama series “Brain Works” (English title) starring Jung Yong-Hwa, Cha Tae-Hyun, and Kwak Sun-Young. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:12) “First time in Korea,” (0:15) “Brain science investigation drama series.” The drama series pairs Jung Yong-Hwa as Neuroscientist Shin Ha-Ru, Cha Tae-Hyun as Detective Geum Myung-Se, and Kwak Sun-Young as Hypnotic Investigator Seol So-Jung. Below are the first still images of Jung Yong-Hwa in the drama series.

The first teaser trailer also reveals that “Brain Works” will first air  January 2, 2023 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday & Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Curtain Call“).

Misako Renbutsu and Reina Triendl are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Konya Sukiyaki Dayo.” The drama series is based on manga series “Konya Sukiyaki Dayo” by Natsuko Taniguchi. The screenplay will revolve around two women who begin to live together, with one woman providing meals and the other woman the apartment.

“Konya Sukiyaki Dayo” first airs January 6, 2023 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “Do Unto Others”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Do Unto Others” starring Kenichi Matsuyama & Masami Nagasawa. The film, which will be released domestically in Japan as “Lost Care,” is based on 2013 novel “Lost Care” by Aki Hamanaka. The trailer begins with captions that asks “Why did he kill 42 people?” The trailer then shows Caregiver Munenori Shiba (Kenichi Matsuyama) telling Prosecutor Hidemi Otomo (Masami Nagasawa) that the death of 42 people was not murder, but salvation. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song of “Samoarinan” by Naotaro Moriyama is also played in the main trailer.

“Do Unto Others” will be released March 24, 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “The Glory” starring Song Hye-Kyo and Lee Do-Hyun. The drama series also pairs again Song Hye-Kyo with screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook. They previously worked together in 2016 KBS2 drama series “Descendants of the Sun.” Caption on the teaser poster below states “There will be no mercy, so there will be no glory either.”

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2” starring Kim Min-Jae, Kim Hyang-Gi, & Kim Sang-Kyung. The drama series is a sequel to “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist,” which aired from August 1st to September 6th, 2022. In the first teaser trailer for season 2, Kim Min-Jae states around the 8 second mark “I look into the mind first.”

The first teaser trailer also reveals that ep.1 of “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist 2” will air January 11, 2023 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Tokyo Revengers 2 Part 1” starring Takumi Kitamura, Yuki Yamada, and Yosuke Sugino. The film is based on manga series “Tokyo Revengers” by Ken Wakui (“Shinjuku Swan“) and follows 2021 movie “Tokyo Revengers.” The sequel film will be released in two parts, with Part I set for release during golden week (late April to early May, 2023) and Part II scheduled for release during summer, 2023.
