Teaser poster and release date for movie “Gentleman”

Teaser poster and release date set for movie “Gentleman” starring Ju Ji-Hoon, Park Sung-Woong, & Choi Sung-Eun. The film will be released December 28, 2022 via online video platform Wavve. The movie follows Ju jI-Hoon who plays Private Detective Ji Hyun-Soo. Through a series of circumstances, he finds himself the suspect of a kidnapping and then he impersonates a prosecutor to uncover the truth. Caption on the teaser poster asks “Do I need manners to catch a bad man?”

Go Bo-Gyeol cast in tvN drama “Holy Idol”

Go Bo-Gyeol is cast for the lead female character role in tvN drama series “Holy Idol” (literal title) co-starring Kim Min-Kyu. Also announced today to play major supporting character roles in the drama series are Lee Jang-Woo, Tak Jae-Hoon, and Ye Ji-Won. “Holy Idol” is based on web novel “Sungseureowoon Idol” by Shin Hwa-Jin.

For Go Bo-Gyeol, she will play Kim Dal. Her character is a fan of idol group “Wild Animal” and she even becomes their manager to save band member Woo Yeon-Woo. His body is occupied by a strange man named Pontifex Lembrary (Kim Min-Kyu). For the supporting actors, Lee Jang-Woo will play Vice Chairman Shin Zo-Woon, Tak Jae-Hoon will play singer Sun Woo-Sil, and Ye Ji-Won will play entertainment company CEO Im Sun-Ja.

“Holy Idol” will first air sometime during the first of 2023 in South Korea.

Ikusaburo Yamazaki & Honoka Matsumoto cast in TV Asahi drama series “Liaison”

Ikusaburo Yamazaki and Honoka Matsumoto are cast in TV Asahi live-action drama series “Liaison.” The drama series is based on  manga series “Liaison: Kodomo no Kokoro Shinryojo” by Yonchan & Yusaku Takemura. The drama series follow two young adults, played by Ikusaburo Yamazaki and Honoka Matsumoto, who work at a suburban clinic that specializes in child psychiatry. They have autism spectrum disorder and ADHD respectively.

“Liaison” first airs January 20, 2023 in Japan.

Trailer for Netflix drama series “Money Heist: Part II”

English subtitled trailer added for Netflix drama series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part II” starring Yoo Ji-Tae, Kim Yunjin, & Park Hae-Soo. The sequel drama series starts off where season ended, with the team of masked thieves barricaded within the Unified Korea Mint. A new character is also introduced. That character is Seoul played by Lim Ji-Yeon. She is a hidden card for the team of thieves.

“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part II” will be available to stream from December 9, 2022 in South Korea.

Masaki Suda cast in live-action film “Don’t Call it Mystery”

Masaki Suda is cast in live-action film “Don’t Call it Mystery.” The film is based on manga series “Mystery to Iu Nakare” by Yumi Tamura and follows 2022 Fuji TV drama series “Don’t Call it Mystery” also starring Masaki Suda. For movie “Don’t Call it Mystery,” Masaki Suda will play Totono Kuno. He is a quirky young man, with curly hair, no friends or girlfriend, but loves curry. He is also highly intelligent and able to talk through mystery cases to solve them.

“Don’t Call it Mystery” will be released sometime during autumn, 2023 in Japan.

Seo Ji-Hoon cast in drama “King of Saju”

Seo Ji-Hoon is cast in drama series “King of Saju” (literal title). The drama series is based on web novel “Cheonjae Yeoksoolinyi Dweda” by Summaeulkimssi and will also feature some new characters and stories not found in the web novel. For “King of Saju,” Seo Ji-Hoon will play Geum Tae-Young. He begins to stay at a fortune telling store and takes in new clients.

“King of Saju” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for tvN drama “Missing: The Other Side 2”

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Missing: The Other Side 2” starring Ko Soo, Heo Jun-Ho, and Ahn So-Hee. The drama series is a sequel to 2020 drama series “Missing: The Other Side.” The first teaser shows Ko Soo as Kim Wook following a wondering boy on a busy street. The boy sees a missing person leaflet on the ground with his own picture on it. Ko Soo picks up the flyer and sees writing on the back of the flyer that asks “Mister, please find me.” Around the 41 second mark, Ko Soo provides narration with “I meet them again who have disappeared.”

“Missing: The Other Side 2” first airs December, 2022 in South Korea (will takeover tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 10:30 time slot after “Behind Every Star“).

Lee Young-Ae cast in drama “Maestra”

Lee Young-Ae is cast in new drama series “Maestra.” The drama series is a remake of 2019 French series “Philharmonia.” The remake screenplay adaptation is scripted by Hong Jung-Hee and directed by Kim Jeong-Kwon (“Ditto“). For drama series “Maestra,” Lee Young-Ae will play Cha Se-Eum. She is a former violinist, who rose to the rank of an orchestra conductor. Cha Se-Eum also carries a secret.

Filming for “Maestra” will begin early 2023. Broadcast network or air dates have not yet been decided.
