Gaku Hamada & Masao Kusakari cast in NHK drama “Dear Detective: From Rampo With Love”

Gaku Hamada & Masao Kusakari are cast in NHK drama series “Dear Detective: From Rampo With Love.” Also cast in the drama series are Shizuka Ishibashi, Yuki Izumisawa, Manami Honjou, Shintaro Morimoto, Kohei Otomo, Ryo Sekoguchi, Kodai Asaka, Ittoku Kishibe, Wakana Matsumoto, Yoshimasa Kondo, & Kikunosuke Onoe. The drama series features an original screenplay that follows Taro Hirai (Gaku Hamada), who later becomes famous mystery writer Rampo Edogawa. Screenplay is written by Fumi Tsubota (“Fishbowl Wives“).

“Dear Detective: From Rampo With Love” will consist of 4 episodes and first air January 21, 2023 in Japan.

Tao Tsuchiya is cast in movie “Matching.” The suspense film is written and directed by Eiji Uchida. For movie “Matching,” Tao Tsuchiya plays wedding planner Rinka. Yoo Seung-Ho, Kim Dong-Hwi, & Yoo Su-Bin are cast in Wavve drama series “The Deal” (working & literal title). The crime-thriller drama series is based on webcomic “Georae” by Woo Nam 20. For “The Deal,” Yoo Seung-Ho and Kim Dong-Hwi play two friends who, on a whim, decide to kidnap someone they knew from high school. The targeted kidnap victim is played by Yoo Su-Bin.

“The Deal” will be available to stream sometime next year in South Korea.

Mugi Kadowaki & Kei Tanaka cast in NTV drama “Reversal Orchestra”

Mugi Kadowaki and Kei Tanaka are cast in NTV drama series “Reversal Orchestra.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Yukako Shimizu (“I Will Not Work Overtime, Period“). Kei Tanaka will play a symphony conductor Asahi Tokiwa. By his father’s request, he returns to Japan to rebuild a local symphony. Mugi Kadowaki will play Hatsune Tanioka. She was once a violinist prodigy, but she gave up her career and began to work as a civil servant. She is recruited by Asahi Tokiwa.

“Reversal Orchestra” first airs January, 2023 (takes over NTV’s Wednesday 10PM time slot after “The First Penguin“).

New teaser trailer added for JTBC drama series “Reborn Rich” starring Song Joong-Ki, Shin Hyun-Bin, & Lee Sung-Min. The teaser trailer is set around a pool game between Jin Do-Joon (Song Joong-Ki) and Jin Yang-Cheol (Lee Sung-Min). Narration in the trailer by Song Joong-Ki states “I thought I couldn’t beat you even if I was reborn. But, you never know, who is in front of you, I died and then awakened. I am reborn as the blood member of the family who killed me.”
