Ryoko Yonekura cast in TV Asahi series “Doctor-X Season 7”

Ryoko Yonekura is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Doctor-X Season 7.” Ryoko Yonekura will reprise her character of Michiko Daimon. Also cast to reprise their respective from prior seasons of “Doctor X” are Yuki Uchida, Kenichi Endo, Masanobu Katsumura, Kosuke Suzuki, Ittoku Kishibe and Toshiyuki Nishida. Season 7, will be set against a backdrop of a worldwide pandemic that challenges the medical system in Japan.

“Doctor-X” first airs October, 2021 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Thursday 9PM time slot after “Emergency Interrogation Room“).

Main cast announced for TV Chosun drama “Uncle”

Oh Jung-Se, Jeon Hye-Jin, Park Sun-Young, Lee Sang-Woo, and Hwang Woo Seul Hye are cast in TV Chosun drama series “Uncle.” The drama series is a remake of U.K. sitcom “Uncle” starring Nick Helm and Elliot Speller-Gillott. Oh Jung-Se will play lead character Wang Joon-Hyeok. His life is in the pits, but he begins to take of his nephew.

“Uncle” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Nagisa Sekimizu & Toru Nakamura cast in TV Tokyo drama “Hachigatsu wa Yoru no Batting Center de”

Nagisa Sekimizu and Toru Nakamura are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Hachigatsu wa Yoru no Batting Center de.” The drama series features an original screenplay that was inspired by cellphone gaming app “Cinderella Nine.” The drama series is set at batting cage center, where a mysterious man tries to solve problems of the centers’ clients using baseball theory.

“Hachigatsu wa Yoru no Batting Center de” first airs  July 7, 2021 in Japan.

Two teaser trailers for tvN drama “Voice 4”

First two teaser trailers added for tvN drama series “Voice 4” starring Lee Ha-Na & Song Seung-Heon. The first teaser trailer is a “trauma” version that shows Emergency Call Center Leader Kang Kwon-Joo’s (Lee Ha-Na) past crisis cases that she faced. The second teaser trailer is a “villain” version that shows villains from past seasons including Mo Tae-Goo (Kim Jae-Wook), Bang Je-Soo (Kwon Yool) and Masayuki Kaneki (Park Byung-Eun). 

“Voice 4” first airs June, 2021 on tvN (prior seasons aired on its sister network OCN).

Kasumi Arimura cast in WOWOW drama “Zenkamono” & movie version

Kasumi Arimura is cast in WOWOW live-action drama series “Zenkamono” and its sequel feature film”Zenkamono.” The drama series and movie are based on  manga series “Zenkamono” y Masahito Kagawa. The drama series will be air sometime this autumn and the sequel movie version will be released sometime in 2022. The screenplay for the movie is set several years after the drama series and is an original story. For “Zenkamono,” Kasumi Arimura will play Kayo Agawa. She works as a volunteer probation officer.
