Ha Ji-Won cast in KBS2 drama “Curtain Call”

Ha Ji-Won is cast for the lead female role in KBS2 drama series “Curtain Call” co-starring Kang Ha-Neul. The early literal working title was “A Tree Dies Standing” (“Namuneun Seoseo Jukneunda”). In the drama series, Ha Ji-Won will play Park Se-Yeon. She is the youngest daughter of the owner of Hotel Paradise and works as the general manager there. She falls in love with Yoo Jae-Heon (Kang Ha-Neul).

Filming for the drama series will begin soon and air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Narration in the teaser trailer goes (0:06) Seo Ji-Hye “No one will believe this, but whenever my lips touches someone else, I can see their future,” (0:14) Yoon Kye-Sang “Assistant Manager Hong Ye-Sool if you don’t have such a sense, quit,” (0:16) Seo Ji-Hye “I knew it at first sight. Mayu Hotta cast in WOWOW drama “Occult no Mori e Yokoso”

Mayu Hotta is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Occult no Mori e Yokoso.” The drama series is directed by Koji Shiraishi (“A Record of Sweet Murder“) and he will also play a horror film director in the drama series. In the drama series, Mayu Hotta will play assistant film director Miho Ichikawa. She goes to a home on a mountain to film a documentary.

“Occult no Mori e Yokoso” will consist of 6 episodes and first air July 22, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser poster & air date set for JTBC drama “Insider”

Teaser poster and June, 2022 air date set for JTBC drama series “Insider” starring Kang Ha-Neul & Lee Yoo-Young. The drama series will slot into JTBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 10:30 PM time slot after the conclusion of “Green Mothers’ Club.” Caption on the teaser poster states “Don’t let them read you. Don’t get caught.” The drama series has Kang Ha-Neul play Kim Yo-Han. He is a judicial apprentice and takes part in an insider investigation of prosecutors.

Ryoma Takeuchi is cast in TV Asahi drama “Roppongi Class”

Ryoma Takeuchi is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Roppongi Class.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin, which was previously adapted into 2020 JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class” starring Park Seo-Joon & Kim Da-Mi. The TV Asahi version will be a joint collaboration with South Korean production company SLL (which produced JTBC’s “Itaewon Class”), Kakao Entertainment, and Kross Pictures. The backdrop of the drama series will be Roponggi, Tokyo and like Itaewon, Seoul is an area of the capital city known for its multi-cultural influence and bustling nightlife.

“Roppongi Class” will first air July, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Hell Dogs”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Hell Dogs” starring Junichi Okada & Kentaro Sakaguchi. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Hell Dogs” by Akio Fukamachi and directed by Masato Harada. The teaser trailer shows Police Officer Shogo Kanetaka (Junichi Okada) and yakuza member Hideki Murooka (Kentaro Sakaguchi) in various action scenes. Data by the police shows they are a 98% match.

“Hell Dogs” will be released September 16, 2022 in Japan.

Han Ji-Hyun, Bae In-Hyuk cast in SBS drama “Cheer Up”

Han Ji-Hyun, Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Hyun-Jin, Jang Gyu-Ri, Lee Eun-Saem, and Yang Dong-Geun are cast in SBS drama series “Cheer Up.” The drama series will revolve around the members of a university cheering squad. Han Ji-Hyun will play Do Hae-Yi. Although she is a student at the university, she prioritizes making money rather than studying, because of her poor financial situation. She then joins the cheering squad for financial reasons.

“Cheer Up” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer #4 added for MBC drama series “From Now On Showtime!” starring Park Hae-Jin, Jin Ki-Joo, & Jung Joon-Ho. The teaser trailer begins with Jung Joon-Ho stating “There’s an unfinished knot between the two.” Prior to his statement and afterwards, scenes show Park Hae-Jin and Jin Ki-Joo existing in historical times and in the present days.

“From Now On Showtime” first airs April 23, 2022 in South Korea.
