Yui Aragaki & Gen Hoshino cast in TBS drama SP “The Full-Time Wife Escapist: New Year’s Special”

Yui Aragaki & Gen Hoshino are cast in TBS live-action drama special “The Full-Time Wife Escapist: New Year’s Special.” The drama special is based on manga series “Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu” by Tsunami Umino and a sequel to 2016 TBS drama series “The Full-Time Wife Escapist.” The drama special will have Yui Aragaki’s character Mikuri Moriyama becoming pregnant and marrying Gen Hoshino’s character Hiramasa Tsuzaki.

“The Full-Time Wife Escapist: New Year’s Special” will air January 2, 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #4 added for JTBC drama series “Hush” starring Hwang Jung-Min & Yoona. Narration and captions in the teaser trailer has Yoona stating (0:07) “The pen is mightier than the gun but,” (0:15) “Meal is stronger than the pen.” Meanwhile, below are still images of Hwang Jung-Min in the drama series. He plays Han Joon-Hyeok. His character is a veteran reporter, but he doesn’t have the passion for the job like he once did.

Kim Hye-Yoon, Lee Jae-Wook, & Lee Tae-Ri to make cameo in tvN drama “True Beauty”

Kim Hye-Yoon, Lee Jae-Wook, and Lee Tae-Ri are set to make cameo appearances in tvN drama series “True Beauty” starring Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo, & Hwang In-Yeop. Kim Hye-Yoon, Lee Jae-Wook, and Lee Tae-Ri previously starred together in MBC drama series “Extraordinary You,” which was directed by “True Beauty” director Kim Sang-Hyub. The three will make cameo appearances because of their good working relationship with director Kim Sang-Hyub. Character descriptions for their cameo appearance have not yet been revealed. Meanwhile, below are new still images of Mun Ka-Young, Park Yoo-Na and Kang Min-Ah in “True Beauty.”

“True Beauty” will first air December 9, 2020 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Wednesday & Thursday 10:30 PM time slot after “Tale of the Nine Tailed“).

Yutaka Takenouchi & Haru Kuroki cast in Fuji TV drama “Ichikei’s Crow”

Yutaka Takenouchi & Haru Kuroki are cast in Fuji TV live-action drama series “Ichikei’s Crow” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Ichikei no Karasu” by Rito Asami. For the drama series, Yutaka Takenouchi  & Haru Koroki will play criminal court judges. Yutaka Takenouchi will play main character Michio Iruma. He is an unusual judge, as he prefers to investigate cases himself. Although Japan has had many drama series centered around attorneys and prosecutors, “Ichikei’s Crow” is one of the first to center around a judge.

“Ichikei’s Crow” will first air April, 2021 in Japan.

Trailer & poster for movie “In Those Days”

Trailer and poster added for movie “In Those Days” (literal title) starring Tori Matsuzaka. The film is based on autobiographical comic “Ano Koro: Danshi Kashimashi Monogatari ” by Mikito Tsurugi, who is the bassist for electronic-rock band Arakajime. The trailer begins with narration that states “I always watch you. I like you a lot. I continue to cheer for you.”

“In Those Days” will be released February 19, 2021 in Japan.

Cast announced for WOWOW drama “Yonimo Kimyona Kimi Monogatari”

Yuina Kuroshima, Wakana Aoi, Shori Sato, Rena Tanaka, and Tatsuya Ueda are cast in WOWOW omnibus drama series “Yonimo Kimyona Kimi Monogatari.” The drama series is based on 2015 novel “Yonimo Kimyona Kimi Monogatari” by Ryo Asai (“The Kirishima Thing“). The drama series will consist of 5 episodes/stories with each of the announced performers starring in an episode.

“Yonimo Kimyona Kimi Monogatari” will air March, 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “You’re Not Normal, Either” starring Ryo Narita & Kaya Kiyohara. Movie is scripted by Ryo Takada and directed by Koji Maeda.
