Kim Hye-Soo cast in Netflix drama “Juvenile Judgement”

Kim Hye-Soo is cast in Netflix drama series “Juvenile Judgement” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Hong Jong-Chan (“Her Private Life“). Kim Hye-Soo’s previous drama series “Hyena” had her play a sharp personal attorney and for “Juvenile Judgement” she will make the jump to the other side of the courtroom and play a judge. More specifically, Kim Hye-Soo will play Sim Eun-Seok who is judge at a local juvenile court.

Release date for “Juvenile Judgement” has not yet been revealed, but it will be available to stream worldwide through Netflix.

Satomi Ishihara cast in TV Tokyo drama SP “Greatest Gift of Life”

Satomi Ishihara is cast in TV Tokyo drama special “Greatest Gift of Life” (literal title of “Jinsei Saiko no Okurimono”). The drama special is scripted by Yoshikazu Okada and directed by Kan Ishibashi. “Greatest Gift of Life” will have Satomi Ishihara play Yuriko Tabuchi. She decides to visit her father out of the blue and doesn’t state why or how long she will stay with her father. She does have a secret.

“Greatest Gift of Life” will air January 4, 2021 in Japan.

Fuka Koshiba cast in TV Asahi drama “Mokomi: She’s A Little Weird”

Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Mokomi: She’s A Little Weird” (literal title). The drama series is scripted by Atsuko Hashibe (“Freeter, Ie wo Kau“) and directed by the trio of Hajime TakezonoJota Tsunehiro, Toshiaki Kamada. The drama series will have Fuka Koshiba playing main character Mokomi Shimizu. She is considered a weird person, because she talks to inanimate objects and can feel their emotions.

“Mokomi: She’s A Little Weird” first airs January, 2021 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Saturday 11PM time slot after “Equation To Erase The Teacher“).

Lee Je-Hoon & Esom cast in SBS drama “Deluxe Taxi”

Lee Je-Hoon and Esom are cast in SBS drama series “Deluxe Taxi.” Kim Eui-Sung & Lee Na-Eun are also cast for major supporting character roles. In “Deluxe Taxi,” Lee Je-Hoon will play Kim Do-Ki. He works as a taxi driver for Rainbow Taxi Company and he was once a member of a military special forces team. Esom will play Kang Ha-Na. She is an enthusiastic and highly determined prosecutor. Kim Eui-Sung will play Jang Sung-Cheol. He is the CEO of Rainbow Taxi Company. Lastly, Lee Na-Eun will play Go Eun. She is a hacker and employee of Rainbow Taxi Company. The drama series is based on webcomic “Mobeomtaxi” written by Carlos.

“Deluxe Taxi” first airs sometime next year in South Korea.

Sequel film “The Blood of Wolves II” to be released in 2021

Sequel film “The Blood of Wolves II” has been announced, which will again be directed by Kazuya Shiraishi (“The Devil’s Path“). The original film “The Blood of Wolves” was released in 2018 and starred Koji Yakusho & Tori Matsuzaka. Casting for the sequel film has not yet been announced, but the promotional visual above shows glimpses of the cast members. Filming for the sequel started September 29, 2020 and finished on November 8, 2020.

“The Blood of Wolves II” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

First teaser trailer for Netflix drama “Sweet Home”

First teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Sweet Home” starring Song Kang, Lee Jin-Wook, Lee Si-Young, & Lee Do-Hyun. The drama series is based on webcomic “Sweet Home” by Kim Kan-Bi & Hwang Young-Chan. Meanwhile, above and below are the first still images of the four main characters from the drama series. Song Kang plays Cha Hyun-Soo. He is a recluse. His family moves to a new apartment complex. Lee Jin-Wook plays Pyeon Sang-Wook. He is a former detective, but people mistake him for a gangster. Lee Si-Young plays Seo Yi-Kyung. She is an ex-firefighter from a special unit. Lee Do-Hyun plays Lee Eun-Hyeok. He leads the residents of the apartment complex where he lives.

“Sweet Home” will be available to stream on Netflix from December 18, 2020.

Takuya Kimura & Masami Nagasawa cast in movie “Masquerade Night”

Takuya Kimura & Masami Nagasawa are cast in sequel film “Masquerade Night.” The film is a sequel to 2019 movie “Masquerade Hotel” and based on 2017 novel “Masquerade Night” by Keigo Higashino. Both Takuya Kimura and Masami Nagasawa will reprise their roles of Detective Kosuke Nitta and Hotel Cortesia Tokyo employee Naomi Yamagishi. Filming for the movie will begin early January, 2021 and the movie is scheduled to be completed August, 2021.

“Masquerade Night” will be released September 17, 2021 in Japan.

Kam Woo-Sung, Jang Dong-Yoon, & Park Sung-Hoon cast in SBS drama “Joseon Exorcist”

Kam Woo-SungJang Dong-Yoon, and Park Sung-Hoon are cast in SBS drama series “Joseon Exorcist” (literal title). The drama series mixes real life historical figures and fantasy elements. For the drama series, Kam Woo-Sung will play King Taejong, while Jang Dong-Yoon and Park Sung-Hoon will play two of his sons. Jang Dong-Yoon will play Prince Chungnyeong and Park Sung-Hoon will play his eldest son Crown Prince Yangnyeong. An evil spirit comes out to fight against the monarchy.

“Joseon Exorcist” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.
