Miki Nakatani cast in WOWOW drama “Giver Taker”

Miki Nakatani is cast in WOWOW live-action drama series “Giver Taker.” The drama series is based on manga “Life2 Giver Taker” by Keiko Suenobu. For “Giver Taker,” Miki Naktani will play ex-elementary school teacher turned detective Itsuki Kurasawa. She underwent the drastic career change after her daughter was murdered by one of her students. 12 years later, that student is now set to be released.

“Giver Taker” will air sometime next year in Japan.

First teaser trailer for Disney+ drama series “Casino” starring Choi Min-Sik, Son Suk-Ku, & Lee Dong-Hwi. The drama series, featuring Choi Min-Sik’s first ever appearance in a drama series, is scripted and directed by Kang Yoon-Sung (“The Outlaws“) Narration in the teaser trailer has Choi Min-Sik stating around the 37 second mark “We made 70 billion won in 10 years and got close to all the political figures in the Philippines. How could we do that?” The teaser trailer also reveals that “Casino” will be available to stream from November, 2022.

Shin Ye-Eun, Ryeo Un, Kang Hoon, & Jung Gun-Joo are cast in SBS drama series “Flower Scholars’ Love Story” (literal title). The drama series is set during the Joseon era and the genre of the screenplay is mystery-romance. Shin Ye-Eun will play a young woman who runs an inn, where scholars stay while preparing to take their exams.

“Flower Scholars’ Love Story” will first air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer & poster added for ENA drama series “Love That Will Freeze to Death” (literal title) starring Lee Da-Hee & Choi Si-Won. The teaser trailer shows main characters Gu Yeo-Reum (Lee Da-Hee) and Park Jae-Hun (Choi Si-Won). They are close friends and share everything with each other. Dialogue in the teaser trailer has John Jang (Park Yeon-Woo) talking to Gu Yeo-Reum (Lee Da-Hee) on the phone and asking “Can I meet you for a little bit?” Gu Yeo-Reum then calls Park Jae-Hun (Choi Si-Won) and tells him excitedly “He’s suddenly coming to my house. I think he’s going to ask me to go out from today.” Around the 7 second mark, Choi Si-Won states “She’s behaving foolishly.”

“Love That Will Freeze to Death” will first air October 5, 2022 on ENA and also via Olleh TV and Seezn in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for KBS2 drama series “Bad Prosecutor” (English title) starring Do Kyung-Soo. Drama series is directed by Kim Sung-Ho (“Move To Heaven“) and scripted by Im Young-Bin (“Sketch“). The first teaser trailer introduces Do Kyung-Soo as Jin Jung and shows that he’s not a normal prosecutor. With his leather jacket, motorcycle helmet, and penchant to smash things with a stick, he has a most unique style as prosecutor.

“Bad Prosecutor” first airs October 5, 2022 in South Korea and will also be available to stream worldwide on Netflix shortly after it airs in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Ichikei’s Crow” starring Yutaka Takenouchi & Haru Kuroki. Movie is based on manga series “Ichikei no Karasu” by Rito Asami and a sequel 2021 Fuji TV drama series “Ichikei’s Crow: The Criminal Court Judges.” Also newly announced to play major supporting characters are Takumi Saito and Osamu Mukai. They will play new characters that were not in the drama series. Takumi Saito will play Shingo Tsukimoto. He works as an attorney and provides his services to the weak. Osamu Mukai will play Eiji Tsujo. He is the youngest person ever to become the Minister of Defense. He comes into conflict with Michio Iruma (Yutaka Takenouchi).

“Ichikei’s Crow” will be released January 13, 2023 in Japan.

Goro Inagaki & Yui Aragaki are cast in movie “Seiyoku.” The film is based on 2021 novel “Seiyoku” by Ryo Asai (“The Kirishima Thing“) and directed by Yoshiyuki Kishi (“Wilderness: Part One“). In movie “Seiyoku,” Goro Inagaki will play Prosecutor Hiroki Terai. He’s worried about his son who doesn’t like to go to school and stays inside mostly. Yuoi Aragaki will play Natsuki Kiryu. She works as a temp at a shopping mall and has a secret wish to shut herself off from the world. These two characters get connected through a death.

“Seiyoku” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

The fantasy drama series partners Funeral Director Baek Dong-Ju (Hyeri) and errand service provider Kim Jib-Sa (Lee Jun-Young).
