Ep.1 trailer for tvN drama “Mental Coach Jegal”

Ep.1 trailer added for tvN drama series “Mental Coach Jegal” starring Jung Woo & Lee Yoo-Mi. The trailer begins with Jung Woo cursing “South Korean national athletes f*ck you!” Around the 21 second mark, Lee Yoo-Mi states “You gave up. Just gave up. Blaming people and blaming the world. You ran away.” Meanwhile, Lee Yoo-Mi recently won an Emmy for outstanding guest actress for her role in “Squid Game.” She is the first South Korean to win an individual acting award at the Emmys.

“Mental Coach Jegal” will be released September 12, 2022 in South Korea.

Ju Ji-Hoon & Han Hyo-Joo cast in drama “Dominant Species”

Ju Ji-Hoon & Han Hyo-Joo are cast for leads roles in new drama series “Dominant Species” (literal title). Also cast for major supporting character roles in the drama series are Lee Hee-Jun, Lee Mu-Saeng, & Park Ji-Yeon. The drama series is scripted by Lee Soo-Yeon, whose past credits include tvN drama series “Stranger” and Disney+ drama series “Grid.” The screenplay for “Dominant Species” is set in the future, where people no longer eat meat and, instead, eat genetically modified cultured meat. The company that dominates the market for this is BF. Han Hyo-Joo will play Yoon Ja-Yoo, the CEO of BF. Ju Ji-Hoon will play Woo Chae-Woon. He has comes from a military background and now works as a bodyguard.

“Dominant Species” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for SBS drama “The First Responders”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “The First Responders” (English title) starring Kim Rae-Won, Son Ho-Jun, & Gong Seung-Yeon. The drama series follows detectives and firefighters, who work in neighboring buildings, collaborating on cases. The first teaser trailer introduces that premise with Kim Rae-Won stating “Let’s cooperate” and followed by Son Ho-Jun answering “Ok. Let’s starting extinguishing the fire.”

“The First Responders” first airs November 11, 2022 in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for SBS drama “Trolley”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Trolley” starring Kim Hyun-Joo & Park Hee-Soon. The teaser trailer has Kim Hyun-Joo stating through out the trailer “There’s something no one can even imagine it would actually happen. Even though no one intended to, but sometimes it happens. We call it an accident.” In the drama series, Kim Hyun-Joo plays a married woman with a secret. Her husband is a national assemblyman played by Park Hee-Soon.

“Trolley” is now scheduled to air from December, 2022 in South Korea.

Sara Minami & Oji Suzuka cast in Netflix live-action drama “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke”

Sara Minami and Oji Suzuka are cast in Netflix live-action drama series “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke.” The drama series is based on manga manga series “Kimi ni Todoke” by Karuho Shiina, which was previously adapted into 2010 movie “From Me to You” starring Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura. The drama series will be co-produced between Netflix and TV Tokyo. In “From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke,” Sara Minami will play outcast high school student Sawako Kuronuma. Her classmates call her Sadako. Oji Suzuka will play Shota Kazehaya. He is a popular student and takes an interest in Sawako Kuronuma.

“Sawako Kuronuma” will be available to stream from March, 2023 worldwide on Netflix.

Lee Da-Hee and Choi Si-Won are cast in ENA drama series “Love That Will Freeze to Death” (literal title). Actor Song Jong-Ho is also cast for a major supporting character role. The drama series will follow friends and neighbors PD Gu Yeo-Reum (Lee Da-Hee) and Dr. Park Jae-Hun (Choi Si-Won). Their relationship changes when Park Jae-Hun decides to take part in Gu Yeo-Reum reality dating show.
