Hokuto Matsumura & Nana Mori cast in live-action “Liar x Liar.”

Hokuto Matsumura (SixTONES) and Nana Mori are cast in live-action film “Liar x Liar.” The film is based on manga series “Liar x Liar” by Renjuro Kindaichi (“Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne“) and directed by Saiji Yakumo (“My Pretend Girlfriend“). The film will have Hokuto Matsumura and Nana Mori play step-siblings, who become involved in a complicated relationship due to a lie that the girl tells.

“Liar x Liar” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser poster for movie “Ora, Ora Be Goin’ Alone” (English title) starring Yuko Tanaka and Yu Aoi. The film is based on 2017 novel “Ora Ora de Hitori Igumo” by Chisako Wakatake and directed by Shuichi Okita (“The Woodsman and the Rain“). Caption on the poster states in Japanese “Momoko who lives alone. Now I have nothing to fear.” The five people on the poster plays Momoko and her thoughts. Teaser trailer #4 added for JTBC drama series “The Good Detective” starring Son Hyun-Joo & Jang Seung-Jo. The drama series was initially scheduled to air from April, 2020, but the Covid-19 outbreak caused the drama series to delay until July 6, 2020.

Kang Do-Chang (Son Hyun-Joo) has worked as a detective for the past 18 years. He was born and raised in Incheon. He investigates cases using his experience and personal connections, forgoing scientific technique or reasoning power.

Oh Ji-Hyeok (Jang Seung-Jo) is an elite detective. He has 9 years of experience. Unlike Kang Do-Chang, he investigates cases using evidence and insight into the criminal’s psyche. Yui Aragaki is cast in NTV drama series “Doting Parent Youth White Paper” (literal title) starring Tsuyoshi Muro and Mei Nagano. For the drama series, Yui Aragaki will play Sachiko Obika. She is the late wife of Taro Obika (Tsuyoshi Muro) and the deceased mother of Sakura Obika (Mei Nagano). Filming of the drama series began early June, 2020, but Yui Aragaki has not yet taken part in the filming.

Two teaser posters and release date updated for action-comedy film “Okay Madam” starring Uhm Jung-Hwa and Park Sung-Woong. The film is now slotted for release sometime during August, 2020 in South Korea.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Mi-Young (Uhm Jung-Hwa) runs a shop at a traditional market, where she makes and sells twisted bread sticks. Eric, Yoo In-Na, and Lim Ju-Hwan are cast in MBC drama series “The Spy Who Loved Me” (literal title). The drama series is scripted by Lee Ji-Min. This is Lee Ji-Min’s first drama series screenplay, after writing numerous movie screenplays including “Sori: Voice From The Heart,” “The Age of Shadows,” and “Forbidden Dream.” The twist in the screenplay of “The Spy Who Loved Me” is that Yoo In-Na plays a woman who was married to a secret agent (Eric) and is now married to a secret industrial spy (Lim Ju-Hwan).

The film is the theatrical movie version of NHK drama special “Wife of a Spy,” which aired June 6, 2020 on NHK. The drama special was filmed in 8k, which was the first time for heralded director Kiyoshi Kurosawa. “Wife of a Spy” is a romance thriller set in the year 1940.

Upcoming movie “Soiree,” starring Nijiro Murakami & Haruka Imou, has received a release date of August 28, 2020 in Japan. 9 new still images has also been revealed for the upcoming film. Movie is written and directed by Bunji Satoyama (“A Sparkle Of Life“). Veteran actor Kosuke Toyohara is also the producer for the film.
