Supporting cast announced for movie “Midnight Swan”

Supporting cast announced for movie “Midnight Swan” starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. The film is scripted and directed by Eiji Uchida and has Tsuyoshi Kusanagi playing a transgender woman as the main character. Just announced for 11 supporting character roles are Misaki Hattori, Asami Mizukawa, Tomorowo Taguchi, Sei Matobu, Shunsuke Tanaka, Kaito Yoshimura, Reo Sanada, Rinka Ueno, Eriko Sato, Yusuke Hirayama, and Toshie Negishi. Notable roles include Misaki Hattori who will play Ichika Sakurada. She is a distant relative of Nagisa (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) and they begin to live together. Asami Mizukawa will play Saori Sakurada, who is the mother of Ichika Sakurada.

“Midnight Swan” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Soiree”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Soiree” starring Nijiro Murakami and Haruka Imou. The teaser trailer plays a song from a portable radio which is “How many times did I kiss you?” by Toshio Kamei and his late wife Chieko Kamei. Toshio Kamei is the music director for the film and he made the song with Chieko Kamei, while she was fighting a disease at the hospital. The song is their love song looking back at their life. Movie is written and directed by Bunji Satoyama.

“Soiree” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.

Ep.13 of SBS drama series “The King: Eternal Monarch” will air one day later on Saturday, May 30, 2020. That also means this weekend only one 1 episode of the drama series will air. For Friday, SBS will air U.S. movie “Contagion” in the place of “The King: Eternal Monarch.”

Meanwhile, filming for “The King: Eternal Monarch” finished yesterday May 28, 2020 in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province. The drama series took 6 months to finish filming, as it started on October, 2019 in North Chungcheong Province.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: A story about a man employed in a psychiatric ward and a woman, with an antisocial personality disorder, who is a popular writer of children’s books.

Moon Kang-Tae (Kim Soo-Hyun) works in the psychiatric ward. His job is to write down the patients’ conditions and to deal with unexpected situations, like if patients fight or they run away. Ep.1 air date for JTBC drama series “Model Detective” (literal title), starring Son Hyun-Joo, Jang Seung-Jo, and Lee Elijah, is now set for July 6, 2020. Filming for the drama series began November 19, 2019 and finished May, 2020. Currently, only post production is left before the drama series airs. The screenplay follows two detectives Kang Do-Chang (Son Hyun-Joo) and Oh Ji-Hyeok (Jang Seung-Jo ), who have totally opposite personalities & investigation techniques, work together to uncover a secret.

Gou Ayano and Hiroshi Tachi are cast in movie “Yakuza and The Family.” The film is written and directed by Michihito Fujii (“The Journalist“). The screenplay spans 20 years as it tells a story of a yakuza family. Filming for the movie took place from November to December, 2019 in Numazu, Fuji and Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture.
