Main trailer added for live-action film “Restart After Come Back Home” starring Yuki Furukawa and Ryo Ryusei. The film is based on BL themed manga “Restart wa Tadaima no Atode” by Cocomi and directed by Ryuta Inoue. Meanwhile, above and below are the first still images from the movie.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Mitsuomi Kozuka (Yuki Furukawa) quits his job due to his boss. He decides to return to his hometown for the first time in 10 years. The town is located in the countryside. There, Mitsuomi Kozuka meets Yamato Kumai (Ryo Ryusei). Yamato Kumai is the stepson of old man Kumai. The old man runs a farm near the home of Mitsuomi Kozuka’s parents.

Mitsuomi Kozuka and Yamato Kumai soon become good friends, but, one night, Mitsuomi Kozuka kisses Yamato Kumai while he is sleeping.

Sota Fukushi is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Diver: Special Infiltration Team” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Diver: Tokushu Sennyuhan” by Shuntaro Osawa. Tadaaki Horai (“The Secrets“) will direct and Manabu Uda (“The Detective is Way Ahead“) writes the screenplay adaptation.

“Diver: Special Infiltration Team” will consist of 5 episodes and first air September, 2020 in Japan.

Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “13” air date & supporting cast members

Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “13,” starring Nanami Sakuraba, is now set to first air August 1, 2020 in Japan. The 4 episode drama series is a remake of 2016 BBC Three television series “Thirteen.” In addition, supporting cast members have been announced for the remake drama series. The newly announced supporting cast members are Yuka ItayaSho Aoyagi , Ryoko YuuiSatoshi JinboRuka Ishikawa and Yuki Inoue.  The drama series was first scheduled to air June 6, 2020, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 13 years after her disappearance, Yuria (Nanami Sakuraba) returns home. She now looks like a 26-year-old woman, but her mental development seems to have stopped at the age of 13 when she disappeared.

After her disappearance, her family broke up. For Yuria’s sake, her mother Asami (Yuka Itaya), father Soichi (Satoshi Jinbo) and younger sister Chiho (Ruka Ishikawa) act like they are still a close family.

Yuria tells Detective Toshihiko (Sho Aoyagi) and Detective Saori (Ryoko Yuui) that she was kidnapped and what happened to her for the past 13 years. The detectives doubt about her statement.

Kento Yamazaki cast in sci-fi film “The Door into Summer”

Kento Yamazaki is cast for the lead role in sci-fi film “The Door into Summer.” The film is based on 1957 novel “The Door into Summer” by American writer Robert A. Heinlein and will be directed by Takahiro Miki (“We Were There“). In the movie. Kento Yamazaki will play scientist Soichiro Takakura. After he is betrayed by two people, he steps into a cryogenic like sleep chamber and wakes up 30 years later.

“The Door into Summer” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Yowamushi Pedal” starring Ren Nagase and Kentaro Ito. The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Key of Heart” by J-pop group King & Prince. The track “Key of Heart” also plays in the main trailer.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Sakamichi Onoda (Ren Nagase) is a high school student. He is an otaku, who loves animation and he is also a loner. Although he isn’t good in sports, he decides to enroll in the bicycle racing club. Unexpectedly, he finds that he has a talent for bicycle racing. For the first time, he has a friend. Sakamichi Onoda exceeds his limits and finds pleasure in the sport of bicycle racing.

Park Hye-Soo offered lead role in MBC drama series “The Red Sleeve Cuff”

Park Hye-Soo has been offered the lead female role in MBC drama series “The Red Sleeve Cuff” (literal title). Currently, Park Hye-Soo is “positively considering” the offer. If she accepts, Park Hye-Soo will play Royal Concubine Uibin Sung (a real historical person). 2007 MBC drama series “Lee San, Wind of the Palace” also told a story about Royal Concubine Uibin Sung. Screenplay for “The Red Sleeve Cuff” is based on 2017 novel series “Otsomae Beulgeun Kkeuddong” by Kang Mi-Kang, which mixes fact and fiction in a historical setting.

“The Red Sleeve Cuff” will first air first half of 2021 in South Korea.
