First teaser trailer for crime-movie “Confession”

First teaser trailer added for crime-thriller film “Confession” (literal title) starring So Ji-Sub, Kim Yunjin, & Nana. Movie is directed by Yoon Jong-Seok (“Marine Boy“). Captions in the teaser trailer states in Korean (0:22) “Case of a murder in a sealed room,” (0:31) “All the evidence points to him,” (0:36) “Rearranged,” (0:40) “Piece of the case.”

Release date has not yet been revealed, except that it is “Coming Soon.” Expect the film to be released sometime before the end of the year in South Korea.

Tatsuya Fujiwara & Yoko Maki cast in Fuji TV drama series “School Police”

Tatsuya Fujiwara and Yoko Maki are cast in Fuji TV drama series “School Police.” The drama series features an original screenplay written by  Tetsuya Oishi, Junpei Yamaoka, & Soichiro Ojima. Setup for the drama series has Tokyo implementing a new police system for middle schools. Detective Ryuhei Shimada (Tatsuya Fujiwara) takes part in the school police program and is assigned to work at Akamine Middle School. Yoko Maki will play Japanese language teacher Ryoko Asamura, who works at Akamine Middle School.

“School Police” first airs January, 2021 (takes over Fuji TV’s Tuesday 9PM time slot after “Our Sister’s Soulmate“).

Jung Ji-So & Lee Jun-Young cast in KBS2 drama “Imitation”

Jung Ji-So and Lee Jun-Young (U-KISS) are cast for lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Imitation.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Imitation” by Park Kyung-Ran. Also cast for supporting roles are Park Ji-Yeon (T-ara), Kang Chan-Hee (SF9), Minseo, Lim Na-Young, Jong Ho (ATEEZ), Hwi Young (SF9), Yu Ri, An Jung-Hoon, Yun Ho (ATEEZ), Lee Su-Woong, Seong Hwa (ATEEZ), San (ATEEZ), Danny Ahn and Shim Eun-Jin. The drama series revolves around idol group members.

“Imitation” first airs sometime during the first half of 2021 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for movie “Brave: Gunjyo Senki”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for movie “Brave: Gunjyo Senki” starring Mackenyu Arata, Haruma Miura, Hirona Yamazaki, and Kenichi Matsuyama. In addition, supporting cast members have announced for the film. The new supporting cast members are Nobuyuki Suzuki, Keisuke Watanabe, Tatsuomi Hamada, Jin Suzuki, Shodai Fukuyama, Hiroki Iijima, Takuro Osada, and Suguru Adachi. Movie is based on manga series “Gunjyo Senki” by Masaki Kasahara.

“Brave: Gunjyo Senki” will be released March 12, 2021 in Japan.

Sol Kyung-Gu & Do Kyung-Soo cast in movie “The Moon”

Sol Kyung-Gu & Do Kyung-Soo are cast in movie “The Moon” (working title). The film will be directed by popular director Kim Yong-Hwa (“Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds“). The story for the film will revolve around someone on Earth trying to save a man in outer space. Sol Kyung-Gu will play the man on Earth and Do Kyung-Soo will play the man trapped in outerspace. Meanwhile, Do Kyung-Soo is currently enlisted in the South Korean military and is scheduled to be discharged on January 25, 2021. Filming for “The Moon” will start sometime after that.

First script reading for OCN drama “Amazing Rumor”

First script reading for OCN drama series “Amazing Rumor” starring Joe Byeong-Gyu, Yu Jun-Sang, & Kim Se-Jeong, took place June 30, 2020 in South Korea. Attending the first script reading were Joe Byeong-Gyu, Yu Jun-Sang, Kim Se-Jeong, Yum Hye-Ran, Ahn Suk-Hwan, Choi Yoon-Young, Choi Kwang-Il and director Yoo Sun-Dong. Director Yoo Sun-Dong stated at the script reading “I am so excited at working with such good actors and actresses. I will do my best to make a fun, new drama series which people have never seen before.” “Amazing Rumor” is based on webcomic “Kyeongirowoon Somoon” written by Jang Yi.

“Amazing Rumor” will first air November 28, 2020 in South Korea (takes over OCN’s Saturday & Sunday 10:30 PM slot previously occupied by “Search“).

Lee Je-Hoon offered role in SBS drama “Deluxe Taxi”

Lee Je-Hoon has been offered the lead male character role in SBS drama series “Deluxe Taxi” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Mobeomtaxi” by Carlos. Currently, Lee Je-Hoon is “positively considering” the offer. If he accepts, he will play Kim Do-Ki. He is a former Korean Navy Seal and now works for a taxi company that also provides revenge service.

“Deluxe Taxi” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Ji Soo offered lead male role in drama “The Moon Rising River”

Actor Ji Soo has been offered the lead male role in drama series “The Moon Rising River” (literal title) starring Kim So-Hyun. If Ji Soo accepts he will play the character of On Dal. He holds an unconditional love for Pyong Gang (Kim So-Hyun). Actor Kang Ha-Neul has also been cast for a special appearance role of On Dal’s father. Currently, Ji Soo is considering the offer.

“The Moon Rising River” will first air sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Main trailer & posters for movie “The Promised Neverland”

Main trailer and posters for live-action film “The Promised Neverland” starring Keiko Kitagawa & Minami Hamabe. Movie is based on manga series “Yakusoku no Neverland” by Kaiu Shirai. The illustration poster above is illustrated by Posuka Demizu, who also illustrated the original manga “Yakusoku no Neverland.” In addition, the movie’s theme song has been revealed and also appears in the main trailer. The theme song is “Tadashiku Narenai” by rock group Zutomayo. 

“The Promised Neverland” will be released December 18, 2020 in Japan.
