Gianna Jun cast in Netflix drama “Kingdom: Ashin of the North”

Gianna Jun is cast in Netflix drama “Kingdom: Ashin of the North.” Gianna Jun appeared at the end of the final episode of “Kingdom Season 2” as Ashin. “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” will feature an original screenplay, but based on webcomic “Burning Hell Shinui Nara” by Kim Eun-Hee. Also cast for the title is Park Byung-Eun. He will reprise his role of Min Chi-Rok. A brief teaser trailer for the new Kingdom title has also been added on AsianWiki. How many episodes will consist for “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” has not yet been revealed.

“Kingdom: Ashin of the North” will be available to stream on Netflix sometime next year.

Teaser trailer #1 added for JTBC drama series “Hush” starring Hwang Jung-Min & Yoona. The drama series followers a group of reporters including Han Joon-Hyeok (Hwang Jung-Min) and rookie reporter Lee Ji-Soo (Yoona). “Hush” is only the third drama series that veteran actor Hwang Jung-Min has performed in.

“Hush” first airs December 11, 2020 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday & Saturday 10:50 PM time slot after “More Than Friends“).

Trailer added for movie “Tengaramon” starring Haruma Miura. Movie is based on the life of historical figure Tomoatsu Godai. He became Japan’s leading entrepreneur during the early Meiji period. The trailer starts with Haruma Miura stating in Japanese “I just want a future with a dream.”

“Tengaramon” will be released December 11, 2020 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix live-action drama series “Alice in Borderland” starring Kento Yamazaki & Tao Tsuchiya. Drama series is based on manga series “Imawa no Kuni no Arisu” by Haro Aso. First script reading for tvN drama series “Queen Cheorin” (literal title), starring Shin Hye-Sun & Kim Jung-Hyun, took place recently in South Korea. Along with director Yun Seong-Sik and screenwriters Park Kye-Ok & Choi A-Il, main cast members that attended included Shin Hye-Sun, Kim Jung-Hyun, Bae Jong-Ok, Kim Tae-Woo, Yoo Min-Kyu, Na In-Woo, Kim In-Kwon, Ko In-Beom, Jeon Bae-Su, and Son Kwang-Eop. The genre for the drama series is a fusion historical-comedy.

“Queen Cheorin” first airs December, 2020 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “Start-Up“).

Suzu Hirose cast in TV Asahi drama SP “Air Girl.”

Suzu Hirose is cast in TV Asahi drama special “Air Girl.” The 1 episode drama special is based on nonfiction novel “Nihon Koku Ikkisei” by Yoshie Nakamaru. The screenplay is set after World War II and follows the start of Japan’s civil aviation industry. For the drama special, Suzu Hirose will play Komari Sano. She applies to become one of the first cabin attendants.

“Air Girl” will air sometime during spring, 2021 in Japan.
