Teaser trailer #2 for OCN drama “The Uncanny Counter”

Teaser trailer #2 added for OCN drama series “The Uncanny Counter” (English title) starring Joe Byeong-Gyu, Yu Jun-Sang, & Kim Se-Jeong. The drama series is based on webcomic “Kyeongirowoon Somoon” written by Jang Yi and previously went under the literal title of “Amazing Rumor.”

Meanwhile, below are still images of Joe Byeong-Gyu and Kim Se-Jeong (Gugudan) in the drama series. Joe Byeong-Gyu plays So Moon. He becomes a member of “Counter” due to his special physical ability. Kim Se-Jeong plays Do Ha-Na. She is also a member of “Counter.” She can sense evil spirits from hundreds of kilometers away.

“The Uncanny Counter” first airs November 28, 2020 in South Korea (takes over OCN’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Search.”).

Osamu Mukai & Taisuke Fujigaya cast in WOWOW drama “The Grand Family”

Osamu Mukai and Taisuke Fujigaya (‘Kis-My-Ft.2’) are cast in WOWOW drama series “The Grand Family” (literal title) starring Kiichi Nakai. The drama series is based on novel “Karei Naru Ichizoku” by Toyoko Yamasaki (“Shizumanu Taiyo“).  Osamu Mukai will play older brother Teppei and Taisuke Fujigaya will play younger brother Ginpei. Their father is Daisuke Manpyo (Kiichi Nakai), who is a wealthy man and owns several businesses including a steel company and a bank.

“The Grand Family” will first air spring, 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 for tvN drama “Awaken”

Two versions of teaser trailer #2 added for tvN drama series “Awaken” starring Namgung Min, Seol Hyun, & Lee Chung-Ah. One version of teaser trailer #2 features Lee Chung-Ah as Jamie and the other version features Seol Hyun as Kong Hye-Won. From the 24 second mark in Lee Chung-Ah’s teaser trailer #2, she provides narration that states “The answer I have been looking for, I wonder if you have that.” From the 17 second mark in Seol Hyun’s teaser trailer #2, she states “I liked this person from the beginning. Good or evil, which comes first?”

“Awaken” first airs November 30, 2020 in South Korea.

Ayami Nakajo cast in NTV drama “With You on the Day the World Ends”

Ayami Nakajo is cast for the lead female role in NTV drama series “With You on the Day the World Ends” (literal title) co-starring Ryoma Takeuchi. For the drama series, Ayami Nakajo will play Kurumi Ogasawara. Her character is the girlfriend of Hibiki Mamiya (Ryoma Takeuchi) and works as an intern at a hospital. She goes missing and Hibiki Mamiya tries to find her. 

“With You on the Day the World Ends” first airs January, 2021 in South Korea.

Kiko Mizuhara & Honami Sato cast in movie “Kanojo.”

Kiko Mizuhara and Honami Sato are cast in Netflix live-action film “Kanojo.” The film is based on manga series “Gunjo” by Ching Nakamura and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki (“Vibrator“). The script will have Kiko Mizuhara and Honami Sato playing two women who are in love. One woman goes as far as killing a husband for the other woman.

“Kanojo” will be released sometime during spring, 2021 on Netflix.

Main trailer for movie “Yakuza and The Family”

Main trailer added for movie “Yakuza and The Family” starring Gou Ayano and Hiroshi Tachi. Movie is directed by Michihito Fujii (“The Journalist“). The movie’s theme song is also featured in the main trailer which is “Familia” by music group Millennium Parade. “Yakuza and The Family” is now scheduled for release January 29, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for horror film “Shin Samejima Jiken”

Main trailer and poster added for horror film “Shin Samejima Jiken” starring Rena Takeda. The film takes place during an online meeting, when one of the participants does not appear. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced, which is “Tsugumu” by Riko Shimizu. Riko Shimizu is a member of idol group Niji no Conquistador. Theme song “Tsugumu” also appears in the main trailer.

“Shin Samejima Jiken” will be released November 27, 2020 in Japan.
