Yo Oizumi, Kasumi Arimura, Ren Meguro & Kou Shibasaki cast in movie “Tsuki no Michikake”

Yo Oizumi, Kasumi Arimura, Ren Meguro (‘Snow Man’) and Kou Shibasaki are cast in movie “Tsuki no Michikake.” The film is based on 2017 novel “Tsuki no Michikake” by Shogo Sato (“Every Trick In The Book“) and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki (“Yellow Elephant“). The film will have Yo Oizumi play Kei Osanai. He is a widower, who lost his wife and daughter in an accident. He is connected with other unrelated people due to fate.

Filming for “Tsuki no Michikake” took place from November to December, 2021 and the movie will be released sometime during winter, 2022.

Fuka Koshiba cast in horror film “Sadako DX”

Fuka Koshiba is cast in sequel horror film “Sadako DX.” Movie is directed by Hisashi Kimura (“99.9 Criminal Lawyer“) and scripted by Yuya Takahashi (“Eight Ranger“). The film will have Fuka Koshiba play graduate student Ayaka Ichijo. Her sister watches a cursed video that causes people to die and searches for answers behind the video.

Filming for “Sadako DX” has already finished and the movie will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Shotaro Mamiya cast in movie “Hakai”

Shotaro Mamiya is cast for the lead role in movie “Hakai.” The movie is based on 1906 novel Hakai” by Toson Shimazaki. Also cast for the major supporting character roles are Anna Ishii, Yuma Yamoto, & Hidekazu Mashima. For the movie, Shotaro Mamiya will play Ushimatsu Segawa. He comes from an untouchable caste, but hides that from others. He becomes influenced by Rentarou Inoko (Hidekazu Mashima), who also comes from the same caste and has become a rights activist for them.

“Hakai” will be released July 8, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and teaser posters added for movie “The Way of the Househusband The Movie” starring Hiroshi Tamaki & Haruna Kawaguchi. Movie is based on webcomic series “Gokushufudo” by Kousuke Oono and follows 2020 NTV-YTV drama series “The Way of the Househusband.” Caption on the first teaser poster states “Congratulations! The best househusband ever, movie debut,” and the second poster states “The best full-time househusband ever, come to the screen!”

“The Way of the Househusband The Movie” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.

Hiroki Hasegawa & Haruka Ayase are cast in movie “Yes, I Can’t Swim” (literal title). The movie is based on novel “Hai, Oyogemasen” by Hidemine Takahashi and directed by Kensaku Watanabe (“Cheer Cheer Cheer!“). For Hiroki Hasegawa & Haruka Ayase, they previously worked together in 2013 NHK drama series “Yae no Sakura” as a married couple. The movie “Yes, I Can’t Swim” will have Hiroki Hasegawa play Yuji Takanashi. He is a professor that has a strong fear of water. He begins to take a swimming class taught by Shizuka Usuhara (Haruka Ayase).

“Yes, I Can’t Swim” will be released June, 2022 in Japan.

Kanna Hashimoto is cast in movie “Violence Action.” The movie is based on webcomic “Violence Action” by Renji Asai & Shin Sawada and directed by Toichiro Ruto (“The Way of the Househusband“). In movie “Violence Action,” Kanna Hashimoto will play Kei Kikuno. She is a student at a vocation school and works part-time as a contract killer. Filming for “Violence Action” finished February, 2021 and will be released sometime during summer, 2022 in Japan.

Trailer & poster for movie “Tonbi”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Tonbi” starring Hiroshi Abe and Takumi Kitamura. Movie is based on 2008 novel “Tonbi” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu and follows 2012 NHK drama special “Tonbi” and 2013 TBS drama series “Tonbi.” Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Hyacinth” by pop-rock duo Yuzu. Theme song “Hyacinth” is played in the main trailer.

“Tonbi” is now set for release April 8, 2022 in Japan.

Yuta Kishi cast in movie “G-Men”

Yuta Kishi (King ＆ Prince) is cast for the lead role in live-action film “G-Men.” The film is based on manga series “G-Men” by Toshio Ozawa and directed by Toichiro Ruto (“The Way of the Househusband“). In the movie “G-Men,” Yuta Kishi will be play high school student Shota Kadomatsu. He wants to find a girlfriend and even transfers to a new school in his pursuit, but he is stuck in G class.

“G-Men” will be released sometime during autumn, 2022 in Japan.

Fuka Koshiba cast in TV Asahi drama “Yokai Housemate 2” & movie version

Fuka Koshiba is cast in TV Asahi sequel drama series “Yokai Housemate 2” and movie version “Yokai Housemate.” Also cast for the sequel drama series and movie are Matsumoto, Katsuya Maiguma, Nobue Iketani and Koji Ookura. All the announced cast members appeared in the original 2020 TV Asahi drama series “Yokai Housemate” and will reprise their respective characters.

Drama series “Yokai Housemate 2” will air April, 2022 and the movie version will be released June, 2022 in Japan.
