Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison cast in movie “The Way of the Househusband”

Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison cast in live-action film “The Way of the Househusband.” Movie is based on webcomic “Gokushufudo” by Kousuke Oono. 2020 NTV drama series “The Way of the Househusband” is based on the same webcomic. Hiroshi Tamaki, Haruna Kawaguchi, & Jun Shison will reprise their respective characters from the NTV drama series for the live-action film version. Also cast for supporting roles and reprising their characters from the drama series are: Naoto Takenaka, Izumi Inamori, Tamaki Shiratori, Kenichi Takito, Yuta Furukawa, Junpei Yasui, Tina Tamashiro, Megumi, and Michiko Tanaka. Actors who will play new characters for the live-action film will be announced at a later date.

“The Way of the Househusband” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Tonbi”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Tonbi” starring Hiroshi Abe & Takumi Kitamura. Movie is based on 2008 novel “Tonbi” by Kiyoshi Shigematsu, which was previously adapted into 2012 NHK drama special “Tonbi” and 2013 TBS drama series “Tonbi.” Caption on the poster sates “My father, who was the most clumsy father in Japan, raised me full of love.”

“Tonbi” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Trailer & poster for live-action film “Noise”

Trailer & poster added for live-action film “Noise” starring Tatsuya Fujiwara & Kenichi Matsuyama. Movie is based on manga series “Noise” by Tetsuya Tsutsui. In addition, more supporting cast members have been announced for the film. The new cast members are Ayumi Ito, Yoshi Sakou, Takaya Sakoda, Mayu Tsuruta, Kazuki Namioka, Susumu Terajima, Kimiko Yo, and Akira Emoto. Caption on the poster states “Killed. Buried. If caught, it’s over.”

“Noise” will be released January 28, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix movie “Love Like the Falling Petals” starring Kento Nakajima & Honoka Matsumoto. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Sakura no Yona Boku no Koibito” by Keisuke Uyama (“Color Me True“) and directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa (“Restaurant From The Sky“). The teaser trailer begins with “The beginning was the earlobes you cut off.”

“Love Like the Falling Petals” premieres March 24, 2022 on Netflix.

Movie is based off of 2019 NTV drama series “Your Turn to Kill,” with Tomoyo Harada & Kei Tanaka in the lead roles. The theme song for the movie has also been announced, which is “One and Last” by Aimer. Caption on the poster states “Welcome. Next is ..”

Teaser trailer & suporting cast for movie “What to Do with the Dead Kaiju?”

Teaser trailer and release date set for movie “What to Do with the Dead Kaiju?” starring Ryosuke Yamada & Tao Tsuchiya. Movie is written and directed by the always quirky Satoshi Miki (“The Insects Unlisted in the Encyclopedia“). Also announced today are the first batch of supporting actors for the film and they are Gaku Hamada, Joe Odagiri, & Toshiyuki Nishida.

“What to Do with the Dead Kaiju?” is now set for release February 4, 2022 in Japan.
