Ryohei Suzuki & Kento Kaku cast in movie “Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room”

Ryohei Suzuki, Kento Kaku, Ayami Nakajo cast in movie “Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room.” Also cast in the film are Jun Kaname, Shinya Kote, Hayato Sano, Shiori Sato, Phongchi, Kanta Sato, Nanao, Shingo Tsurumi, Satoshi Hashimoto, Makiko Watanabe, Riisa Naka and Yuriko Ishida. The movie version is based on 2021 TBS drama series “Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room” and all of today’s announced cast members appeared in the original drama series version. The movie version will be directed by Aya Matsuki and scripted by Tsutomu Kuroiwa. Both of whom worked on the drama series version as well. Plot for the movie has not been revealed, but will revolve around the mobile emergency room, which is a mobile vehicle that attends to major accidents.

“Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room The Movie” will be released sometime during 2023 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Yagate Umi e to Todoku” starring Yukino Kishii & Minami Hamabe. Movie is based on 2016 novel “Yagate Umi e to Todoku” by Maru Ayase and directed by Ryutaro Nakagawa (“Mio on the Shore“). Captions in the teaser trailer state (0:05) “Friend who, one day, suddenly disappeared,” and (0:16) “Trip to find missing friend.”

“Yagate Umi e to Todoku” is now scheduled for release April 1, 2022 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “Usogui”

Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Usogui” starring Ryusei Yokohama & Hayato Sano. Movie is based on manga series “Usogui” by Toshio Sako and directed by Hideo Nakata (“Stolen Identity“). Caption on the main poster states “You are a liar.” Manwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Live” by rock duo B’z. The theme song appears in the main trailer as well.

“Usogui” will be released February 11, 2022 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “The Last 10 Years”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Last 10 Years” starring Nana Komatsu & Kentaro Sakaguchi. Movie is based on novel “Yomei 10 Nen” by Ruka Kosaka and directed by Michihito Fujii (“The Journalist“). The movie’s theme song has also been revealed, which is “Uruubito” by rock band Radwimps. That track is featured in the main trailer as well. Lastly, supporting cast members has been announced for the film and they are Yuki Yamada, Nao, Satoru Iguchi, Haru Kuroki, Tetsushi Tanaka, Lily Franky, Hideko Hara, and Yutaka Matsushige.

“The Last 10 Years” will be released March 4, 2022 in Japan.

Fuju Kamio &Nanase Nishino cast in movie “Koi wa Hikari”

Fuju Kamio and Nanase Nishino are cast for lead roles in live-action film “Koi wa Hikari.” Also cast in major supproting character roles are Yuna Taira and Fumika Baba. The film is based on manga series “Koi wa Hikari” by Akieda and directed by Keiichi Kobayashi (“He Won’t Kill, She Won’t Die“). For the film, Fuju Kamio will play university student Saijo and Nanase Nishino will play university student Kitashiro, who has been friends with Saijo since they were children. Saijo has an unusual special ability to see sparkles around a woman that is in love.

“Koi wa Hikari” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Movie is directed by Akiko Ohku (“Hold Me Back “) and scripted by Bakarhythm (“Fictitious Girl’s Diary The Movie“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Kimi ni Sachiare” by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. The track is also played in the main trailer.

“Wedding High” will be released March 12, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for live-action film “XXXHOLiC”

Teaser trailer added for live-action film “XXXHOLiC” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki & Kou Shibasaki. Movie is based on manga “xxxHOLiC” by Clamp, which was previously adapted into 2013 WOWOW drama series “XXXHOLiC” starring Anne Watanabe & Shota Sometani. Two new actresses, Daoko & Serena Motola, have also been announced to play supporting characters in the upcoming movie. Above and below are two new visuals for the movie. The first one is of Ryunosuke Kamiki, Kou Shibasaki, Daoko, and Serena Motola.  The second one is of Ryunosuke Kamiki, Hokuto Matsumura, and Tina Tamashiro. 

‘XXXHOLiC” will be released April 29, 2022 in Japan.

Masaki Suda and Mieko Harada are cast in movie “Hyakka.” Movie is written and directed by Genki Kawamura (“If Cats Disappeared From the World“). The film deals with an adult son played by Masaki Suda as he takes care of his mother played by Mieko Harada with Alzheimer’s. The son can’t forget something that happened in their past. In addition, the first teaser trailer for the movie has been added on AsianWiki.

“Hyakka” will be released September 9, 2022 in Japan.

Trailer & poster for movie “What to Do with the Dead Kaiju?”

Trailer and poster added for comedy-monster film “What to Do with the Dead Kaiju?” starring Ryosuke Yamada & Tao Tsuchiya. Movie is written and directed by Satoshi Miki (“Louder!: Can’t Hear What You’re Singin’, Wimp“). In addition, 13 new supporting actors have been announced for the film: Hidekazu Mashima, Sumire (1995), Yoji Tanaka, Yoshiki Arizono , Gin Pun Chou , Seiji Rokkaku, Eri Fuse, Toshihiro Yashiba, Kenzo Ryu, Megumi, Ryo Iwamatsu, Kyusaku Shimada and Takashi Sasano.
