Trailer for movie “Paradise Lost”

Trailer added for movie “Paradise Lost” starring Kim Hyun-Joo and Bae Hyun-Sung. The film is written and directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. For director Yeon Sang-Ho, his prior film “Colony” was invited earlier this year to the Midnight Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival and his latest film “Paradise Lost” is set to premiere later this year at the Toronto International Film Festival. Director Yeon Sang-Ho appears in the beginning of the trailer for “Paradise Lost” and reveals that while working on his recent films, he has agonized over the dark side of human nature. He thinks that “Paradise Lost” is his darkest story yet. Story for “Paradise Lost” follows a mother played by Kim Hyun-Joo, who falls into an abyss between a child resurrected through AI and her real child who has returned after a 9 year disappearance. Dialogue in the trailer goes:

“Paradise Lost” will be released October, 2026 in South Korea.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ryu So-Young (Kim Hyun-Joo) was a single mother and raised her son Ryu Sun-Woo by herself. Suddenly, she loses Ryu Sun-Woo in a camping school bus disappearance. Since then, every night, she visits the last path of movement where her child Ryu Sun-Woo disappeared. One day, her son Ryu Sun-Woo (Bae Hyun-Sung) returns as a grown adult after 9 years.
