Masaki Aiba cast in movie “Sore ga Iru Mori”

Masaki Aiba is cast in horror film “Sore ga Iru Mori.” The movie is directed by Hideo Nakata (“Ring“) and scripted by Brazili Ann Yamada (“Goose Bumps The Movie“) & Tetsuya Oishi (“Stolen Identity“). The film revolves around a forest where people experience mysterious phenomena. For Masaki Aiba, this is his first starring movie acting role since 2014 film “Miracle: Devil Claus’ Love and Magic” and his first appearance in a horror film.

Filming for “Sore ga Iru Mori” is currently ongoing and the movie will be released September 30, 2022 in Japan.

Ryusei Yokohama cast in movie “Sen wa, Boku o Egaku”

Ryusei Yokohama is cast in movie “Sen wa, Boku o Egaku.” Movie is based on 2019 novel “Sen wa, Boku o Egaku” by Hiromasa Togami and directed by Norihiro Koizumi (“Chihayafuru“). For the movie, Ryusei Yokohama will play main character Sousuke Aoyama. He becomes fascinated with ink wash paintings and becomes a painter himself. Ryusei Yokohama actually learned ink wash painting from artist Tohun Kobayashi for a year to play his role.

“Sen wa, Boku o Egaku” will be released October 21, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “The Hunk is the Color Orange” starring Hikaru Iwamoto & Meru Nukumi. The movie is based on manga series “Moekare wa Orenji Iro” by Non Tamashima and directed by Shosuke Murakami (“One Week Friends“). Movie depicts a romance between a firefighter and a high school student.

“The Hunk is the Color Orange” will be released July 8, 2022 in Japan.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Hatachi no Soru” starring Fuju Kamio & Koichi Sato. The film is based on non-fiction novel “Hatachi no Soru” by Yuriko Nakai and directed by Jun Akiyama (“I Love Tokyo Legend – Kawaii Detective“). Movie follows Fuju Kamio as Taigi Asano. He is a college student and hopes to become a music teacher. He is then diagnosed with cancer.

“Hatachi no Soru” will be released May 27, 2022 in Japan.

Junichi Okada & Kentaro Sakaguchi cast in movie “Hell Dogs”

Junichi Okada & Kentaro Sakaguchi are cast in movie “Hell Dogs.” The film is based on 2017 novel “Hell Dogs” by Akio Fukamachi and directed by Masato Harada (“Chronicle Of My Mother“). In “Hell Dogs,” Junichi Okada will play Shogo Kanetaka. He is a police officer, who is ordered to go undercover and join the yakuza. Kentaro Sakaguchi will play yakuza member Hideki Murooka.

“Hell Dogs” will be released September 16, 2022 in Japan.

Trailer & teaser poster for movie “Kingdom 2”

Trailer and teaser poster added for live-action sequel film “Kingdom 2” starring Kento Yamazaki. Movie is based on manga series “Kingdom” by Yasuhisa Hara and directed by Shinsuke Sato. The film also follows 2019 movie “Kingdom.” Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Ikiro” by Mr.Children. Theme song “Ikiro” is played in the trailer.

“Kingdom 2” will be released July 15, 2022 in Japan.

Hayato Isomura cast in movie “Believers”

Hayato Isomura is cast in live-action film “Believers.” The movie is based on manga series “Believers” by Naoki Yamamoto and directed by Hideo Jojo (“Shinjuku Punch“). The movie will have Hayato Isomura playing a man called Operator. He is a part of a three person group that begins to live on an isolated island, while following the unusual rules laid out by their religious organization Smiley Life Center.

“Believers” will be released July, 2022 in Japan.
