Lee Joon-Ho & Hong Hwa-Yeon are cast in “Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea”

Lee Joon-Ho and Hong Hwa-Yeon are cast in “Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea” (literal title). The mystery romantic-comedy drama series will have Lee Joon-Ho play his first non-human character Cha Yeon. He is actually a dragon and able to control water, while he works as the head of the Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea. Hong Hwa-Yeon will play a human named Go Mi-Woo. She gets mistakenly assigned to work at the Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea. Screenplay is written by Shin Ha-Eun (“Love Next Door“) and directed by Bae Hyun-Jin (“Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow“).

“Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: The Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea manages non-human residents residing in South Korea, including mermaids and nine-tailed foxes. These beings come from other realms and are able to coexist with humans. 

Cha Yeon (Lee Joon-Ho) is actually a dragon able to control water and he works as the head of the Embassy of Foreign Beings in Korea. He has resided in Korea for thousands of years and lives a monotonous daily life. One day, his monotonous daily life changes due to the arrival of human Go Mi-Woo (Hong Hwa-Yeon). She is a former gold medalist archer at the Asian Games and begins to work as a rookie diplomat. She was mistakenly appointed to Embassy of the Foreign Beings in Korea, where humans are not allowed to enter.
