Lee Sang-Yoon & Lee Sung-Kyung cast in tvN drama series “About Time”

Lee Sang-Yoon & Lee Sung-Kyung are cast for lead roles in tvN romance-fantasy drama series “About Time.”

Lee Sang-Yoon will play the character of Lee Do-Ha. He is the chairman of a cultural foundation. He unwittingly stops Choi Michaela’s (Lee Sung-Kyung) lifespan clock. Choi Michaela then bothers him with a combination of seduction and cute obsession.

Lee Sung-Kyung plays Choi Michaela. She is a musical actress with a special ability to see the lifespan clocks of people (i.e. how long a person will live). One day, she meets a man Lee Do-Ha (Lee Sang-Yoon) who stops her lifespan cock.

“About Time” will first air May, 2018 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “A Poem A Day“).

Anne Nakamura cast in TBS live-action drama series “You Always Inhabit My Heart”

Anne Nakamura is cast for a supporting role in upcoming TBS live-action drama series “You Always Inhabit My Heart” (lteral title). The drama series is based on manga “Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita” by Kirin Tendo and stars Riho Yoshioka, Kenta Kiritani and Osamu Mukai.

For the drama series, Anne Nakamura will play Emi Narikawa. Her character is an original character written for the drama series and not found in the original manga. Emi Narikawa is a popular novelist and ex-girlfriend of Kojiro Yoshizaki (Kenta Kiritani).

“You Always Inhabit My Heart” first airs January 16, 2018 in Japan.

Filming for movie “Door Lock” begins

Filming for movie “Door Lock” began January 7, 2018 in Seongbuk-district, Seoul, South Korea. Movie is mystery-thriller starring Kong Hyo-Jin and is set at a studio apartment. The film is directed by Lee Kwon (“My Ordinary Love Story“). The first scene filmed involved Kyung-Min (Kong Hyo-Jin) and Hyo-Joo (Kim Ye-Won) seeks clues on a stranger who broke into Kyung-Min’s apartment. Meanwhile, the photos above and below are from the first script reading which took place prior to the start of filming.

“Door Lock” will be released later this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and character posters for movie “Age Of The Rebellion” starring Jung Woo, Kim Ju-Hyeok and Jung Jin-Young. The character posters are of Jung Woo, Kim Ju-Hyeok, Jung Jin-Young, Jung Hae-In, Kim Won-Hae, Jung Sang-Hoon, Chun Woo-Hee and Jin Goo. Movie is directed by Cho Keun-Hyun (“26 Years“) and screenplay by Baek Mi-Kyeong.

Of the main characters, Jung Woo plays popular author Yeon Heung-Bu. Kim Ju-Hyeok plays nobleman Jo Hyuk. He takes cares of the poor. Jung Jing-Young plays power thirsty Jo Hang-Ri. He is the older brother of Jo Hyuk. Jung Hae-In plays King Heonjong. He is a king without much power. The film also is one of the last performances by Kim Ju-Hyeok. He passed away on October 30, 2017.

“Age Of The Rebellion” will be released February, 2018 in South Korea.

Son Ye-Jin cast in JTBC drama series “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food”

Son Ye-Jin is cast for the lead female role in JTBC drama series “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” (literal title). In the drama series, Son Ye-Jin will play Yoon Jin-A. She is a single woman in her 30’s and works for a coffee company. She develops feelings for the younger brother of her best friend. Meanwhile, Jung Hae-In has been offered the lead male role and he is currently “positively considering” the offer.

“Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” will first air March, 2018 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday and Saturday 11PM time slot after “Misty“).

Kwon Yuri cast in KBS2-Naver TV Cast-Netflix drama series “Sound of Your Heart Season 2”

Kwon Yuri (‘Girls’ Generation’) is cast for the lead female role in upcoming KBS2-Naver TV Cast-Netflix drama series “Sound of Your Heart Season 2” co-starring Sung Hoon. In addition, veteran character actor Joo Jin-Mo is also cast for a supporting role in the drama series. For “Sound of Your Heart Season 2,” Kwon Yuri will play Ae-Bong. She is the girlfriend of Jo Suk (Sung Hoon). In the first season of “Sound of Your Heart,” Jung So-Min played the character of Ae-Bong. Meanwhile, Joo Jin-Mo will play Jo-Suk’s father (Kim Byung-Ok played the same character in season 1).

“Sound of Your Heart Season 2” airs sometime this year in South Korea.

First script reading for drama series “Four Men”

First script reading for upcoming drama series “Four Men” (literal title) took place December 15, 2017 at Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. Main cast members including Park Hae-Jin, Nana (‘After School’), Kwak Si-Yang, Lee Ki-Woo and Ren (‘NU’EST’) all attended. At the start of the script reading, Park Hae-Jin (as he will play four characters in the drama series) introduced himself by asking “Hello? Il-Hoon, Chen, Dong-Jin, Michael…. Director, right? Do I have any more characters to play? I am Park Hae-Jin and I will play these characters.” The first script reading took about 3 hours to finish.

Filming for the drama series will begin January 11, 2018. Network in which the drama series will be broadcast has yet to be finalized, but the drama series is now scheduled to air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day”

Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon are cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day” co-starring Lee Yoo-Bi. For the medical themed drama series, Lee Joon-Hyuk will play Ye Je-Wook. He works as a physical therapist. He likes to speak efficiently with an expressionless face and he also keeps people at a distance due to a painful past.

Jang Dong-Yoon will play Shin Min-Ho. He and Woo Bo-Young (Lee Yoo-Bi) studied physical therapy together at the same school. Woo Bo-Young had a secret crush on him back then. Now Shin Min-Ho begins training at the same hospital where Woo Bo-Young works. Actor Gong Myung was first offered the role of Shin Min-Ho, but he declined.

In addition, Shin Jae-Ha is cast to play supporting character Kim Nam-Woo. He is a friend of Shin Min-Ho.
