Supporting cast announced for live-action film “Marmalade Boy”

Miho Nakayama, Rei Dan, Shosuke Tanihara and Michitaka Tsutsui are cast for major supporting characters in live-action film “Marmalade Boy” starring Hinako Sakurai and Ryo Yoshizawa. Movie is based on manga “Marmalade Boy” by Wataru Yoshizumi and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. The story for “Marmalade Boy” follows two teenagers who learn their parents are divorcing and remarrying partners from the other couple. Furthermore, they all begin living in the same house.

For Miho Nakayama, she will play Chiyako. She is the biological mother of Yuu Matsuura (Ryo Yoshizawa). Shosuke Tanihara will play Shosuke Tanihara. He is the biological father of Yuu Matsuura. Rei Dan will play Rumi. She is the biological mother of Miki Koishikawa (Hinako Sakurai). Michitaka Tsutsui will play Jin Koishikawa. He is the biological father of Miki Koishikawa.

“Marmalade Boy” opens April 27, 2018 in Japan.

Yoko Maki, Mao Inoue, Nanami Sakuraba and Yo Oizumi are cast in movie “Yakiniku Dragon”

Yoko Maki, Mao Inoue, Nanami Sakuraba and Yo Oizumi are all cast in movie “Yakiniku Dragon.” The film is based on stage play “Yakiniku Doragon” written and directed by Wishing Chong and he also directs the movie version. The film centers around three daughters played by Yoko Maki, Mao Inoue and Nanami Sakuraba. Their father emigrated from South Korea and started the restaurant “Yakiniku Doragon” in Japan. Story is also set in the 1970’s and set around the Kansai region.

“Yakiniku Dragon” will be released sometime this summer in Ja;an.

Kim Kang-Woo and Uee cast in MBC drama series “My Husband Oh Jak-Doo”

Kim Kang-Woo and Uee are cast for lead roles in MBC Saturday drama series “My Husband Oh Jak-Doo” (literal title). Jung Sang-Hoon is already cast for a supporting roles in the drama series and Han Sun-Hwa (ex ‘Secret’ member) is considering an offer to play a supporting role. Story for “My Husband Oh Jak-Doo” will follow a single woman (Uee) in her 30’s who decides to marry just to get rid of the stigma of being a single woman. She marries a man (Kim Kang-Woo) that lives in the mountain out of convenience, but they develop feelings romantically.

“My Husband Oh Jak-Doo” first airs March, 2018 in South Korea.

Choi Hee-Seo offered leading role in OCN drama series “Mistress”

Choi Hee-Seo has been offered leading role in OCN drama series “Mistress” co-starring Han Ga-In. Currently, Choi Hee-Seo is positively considering the offer. Choi Hee-Seo has recently won several “Best New Actress” awards for her performance in 2017 movie “Anarchist from Colony.” If Choi Hee-Seo accepts she will play Jung-Won. Her character works as a successful lawyer and she is married, but she has an affair with a colleague. The drama series is a remake of UK TV series “Mistresses”  and the character of Jung-Won is the equivalent of Siobhan Dillon from the original  TV series.

Teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki”

First teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “Eulachacha Waikiki” starring Kim Jung-Hyu, Lee Yi-Kyung and Son Seung-Won. The drama series is set around Waikiki Guest House which is run by Kang Dong-Goo (Kim Jung-Hyun), Cheon Joon-Ki (Lee Yi-Kyung) and Bong-Doo-Sik (Son Seung-Won). A baby and a single mom appears at Waikiki Guest House. Still images below is of Kim Jung-Hyun in the drama series.
