Yuki Yamada and Marika Matsumoto are cast in movie “Yoru, Toritachi ga Naku.” The film is based on short story “Yoru, Toritachi ga Naku” by Yasushi Sato (“Sketches of Kaitan City“) and directed by Hideo Jojo (“Shinjuku Punch“). The film has Yuki Yamada playing struggling novelist Shinichi. Mariki Matsumoto will play Yuko. She is the ex-wife of a friend of Shinichi. She moves into Shinichi’s home with her young son.
“Yoru, Toritachi ga Naku” will be released December 9, 2022 in Japan.

Jeon Do-Yeon and Jung Kyoung-Ho are cast in tvN drama series “Ilta Scandal.” The drama series is a romantic-comedy and set within the private institute instructor field. The drama series is scripted by Yang Hee-Seung and directed by Yoo Je-Won. Screenwriter Yang Hee-Seung and Director Yoo Je-Won previously worked together in 2014 tvN drama series “High School King of Savvy” and 2015 tvN drama series “Oh My Ghost.”
“Ilta Scandal” will first air sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Mahiro Takasugi & Nagisa Sekimizu are cast in movie “Itsuka, Itsumo……Itsumademo.” Movie features an original screenplay by Yumi Yazawa (“The Witch of the West is Dead“) and directed by Shunichi Nagasaki (“Christmas in August“). For the film, Mahiro Takasugi will play Toshihide. He works as a doctor at a clinic with his grandfather. Nagisa Sekimizu will play Ako. Circumstances leads her to begin living with Mahiro Takasugi.

Cho Jin-Woong, Cha Seung-Won, & Han Hyo-Joo are cast in sequel movie “Believer 2.” Also cast for the film are Oh Seung-Hoon, Kim Dong-Young, & Lee Joo-Young. Both Han Hyo-Joo and Oh Seung-Hoon did not appear in the original 2018 movie “Believer,” while the other 4 announced cast members will reprise their respective roles from the first film. Han Hyo-Joo will play a new character named Keunkal (literally Big Knife). She is the only person aware of the real identity of drug gang boss Teacher Lee. Meanwhile, Oh Seung-Hoon will play the character of Rak. In the original 2018 movie, Rak was played by actor Ryoo Joon-Yeol.
Release date for “Believer 2” has not yet been determined, but it will be released via Netflix.

Movie is based on novel “Akira to Akira” by Jun Ikeido (“Naoki Hanzawa“) and directed by Takahiro Miki (“The Door into Summer“). 2017 WOWOW drama series “Akira and Akira,” starring Osamu Mukai & Takumi Saito, is also based on the same novel. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Berubetto no Shi” by Back Number. The theme song “Berubetto no Shi” is featured in the trailer.

Cho Seung-Woo is cast in JTBC drama series “Sacred Divorce” (literal title). The drama series is based on on webcomic “Shinsunghan, Yihon” by Kang Tae-Kyung and directed by Lee Jae-Hoon (“Run On“). In the drama series, Cho Seung-Woo will play Shin Sung-Han. He changes profession from a music professor to a lawyer specializing in divorce. While taking on clients, he seeks to uncover the truth behind a case that led him to work as a lawyer.
