Jeon Do-Yeon & Jung Kyoung-Ho cast in tvN drama “Ilta Scandal”

Jeon Do-Yeon and Jung Kyoung-Ho are cast in tvN drama series “Ilta Scandal.” The drama series is a romantic-comedy and set within the private institute instructor field. The drama series is scripted by Yang Hee-Seung and directed by Yoo Je-Won. Screenwriter Yang Hee-Seung and Director Yoo Je-Won previously worked together in 2014 tvN drama series “High School King of Savvy” and 2015 tvN drama series “Oh My Ghost.”

“Ilta Scandal” will first air sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Mahiro Takasugi & Nagisa Sekimizu cast in movie “Itsuka, Itsumo……Itsumademo”

Mahiro Takasugi & Nagisa Sekimizu are cast in movie “Itsuka, Itsumo……Itsumademo.” Movie features an original screenplay by Yumi Yazawa (“The Witch of the West is Dead“) and directed by Shunichi Nagasaki (“Christmas in August“). For the film, Mahiro Takasugi will play Toshihide. He works as a doctor at a clinic with his grandfather. Nagisa Sekimizu will play Ako. Circumstances leads her to begin living with Mahiro Takasugi.

“Itsuka, Itsumo……Itsumademo” will be released October 14, 2022.

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist” starring Kim Min-Jae, Kim Hyang-Gi, & Kim Sang-Kyung. Cho Jin-Woong, Cha Seung-Won, & Han Hyo-Joo cast in movie “Believer 2”

Cho Jin-Woong, Cha Seung-Won, & Han Hyo-Joo are cast in sequel movie “Believer 2.” Also cast for the film are Oh Seung-Hoon, Kim Dong-Young, & Lee Joo-Young. Both Han Hyo-Joo and Oh Seung-Hoon did not appear in the original 2018 movie “Believer,” while the other 4 announced cast members will reprise their respective roles from the first film. Han Hyo-Joo will play a new character named Keunkal (literally Big Knife). She is the only person aware of the real identity of drug gang boss Teacher Lee. Meanwhile, Oh Seung-Hoon will play the character of Rak. In the original 2018 movie, Rak was played by actor Ryoo Joon-Yeol.

Release date for “Believer 2” has not yet been determined, but it will be released via Netflix.

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Adamas” starring Ji Sung, Seo Ji-Hye, & Lee Soo-Kyung. The drama series has Ji Sung play twin brothers Ha Woo-Shin & Song Soo-Hyun. They learn that their birth father was framed for the murder of their stepfather. Main trailer added for movie “Akira and Akira” starring Ryoma Takeuch & Ryusei Yokohama. Movie is based on novel “Akira to Akira” by Jun Ikeido (“Naoki Hanzawa“) and directed by Takahiro Miki (“The Door into Summer“). 2017 WOWOW drama series “Akira and Akira,” starring Osamu Mukai & Takumi Saito, is also based on the same novel. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Berubetto no Shi” by Back Number. The theme song “Berubetto no Shi” is featured in the trailer.

Cho Seung-Woo cast in JTBC drama “Sacred Divorce”

Cho Seung-Woo is cast in JTBC drama series “Sacred Divorce” (literal title). The drama series is based on on webcomic “Shinsunghan, Yihon” by Kang Tae-Kyung and directed by Lee Jae-Hoon (“Run On“). In the drama series, Cho Seung-Woo will play Shin Sung-Han. He changes profession from a music professor to a lawyer specializing in divorce. While taking on clients, he seeks to uncover the truth behind a case that led him to work as a lawyer.

“Sacred Divorce” will air sometime during the first half of 2023 in South Korea.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Haw” starring Kei Tanaka. Movie is based on 2022 novel “Haw” by Hiroshi Saito and directed by Isshin Inudo (“Goo Goo, The Cat“). The film follows the relationship between a shy young man and a big dog that makes a raspy “haw” sound when barking. Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been decided as “Mikata” by GReeeeN.  The theme song “Mikata” is played in the main trailer.

Ai Iinuma, Kento Nagao, and Hidekazu Mashima cast in TBS drama “Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter”

Ai Iinuma, Kento Nagao, and Hidekazu Mashima are cast in TBS-Paravi drama series “Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter.” The drama series is based on 2006 novel “Papa to Musume no Nanokakan” by Takahisa Igarashi and a remake of 2007 TBS drama series “Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter” starring Hiroshi Tachi & Yui Aragaki. In “Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter,” Ai Iinuma and Hidekazu Mashima will play daughter and father. They somehow switch bodies. Kento Nagao will play a teen love interest of the daughter.

“Seven Days of a Daddy and a Daughter” first airs  July 26, 2022 in Japan.
