Fumi Nikaido & Chae Jong-Hyeop cast in TBS drama series “Eye Love You”

Fumi Nikaido & Chae Jong-Hyeop are cast in TBS drama series “Eye Love You.” The drama series marks the first time South Korean actor Chae Jong-Hyeop will perform in a Japanese drama series. The fantasy/romantic-comedy script will have Fumi Nikaido play Yuri Motomiya. She has a special ability that allows her to hear other people’s secret thoughts when she looks into their eyes. She has shut herself away from other people because of her special ability. Things change, when she meets Korean student Yoon Te-O. When she looks into his eyes, she hears his inner thoughts but she can’t understand them due to the different language. This gives her an idea.

“Eye Love You” will first air January, 2024 in Japan (takes over TBS‘ Tuesday 10PM time slot after “My Second Aoharu“).

Teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Sweet Home 2” starring Song Kang, Lee Jin-Uk, Lee Si-Young, Go Min-Si, & Park Gyu-Young. The teaser trailer shows soldiers fighting against monsters to protect the survivors. The monsters themselves seem to have evolved. The survivors are weary of each other, while Cha Hyun-Su (Song Kang) wants to create a vaccine by using himself.

Teaser trailer added for TVING drama series “Death’s Game” starring Seo In-Guk & Park So-Dam. Park So-Dam as Death narrates the teaser with “Choi Yi-Jae, you are going to die 12 times. Your soul will soon enter the bodies of 12 people who will die soon. No matter what body you wake up in, you will die. If you don’t want to go to hell, try to survive.” Choi Yi-Jae, played by Seo In-Guk, is a young man that took his own life only to meet Death after his death.

Park Hae-Soo, Shin Min-A, Lee Hee-Jun, Kim Sung-Kyun, Lee Kwang-Soo, & Gong Seung-Yeon are cast in Netflix drama series “Karma” (working title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Akyeon” by Choi Hee-Sun and directed by Lee Il-Hyeong (“A Violent Prosecutor“). The story for “Karma” will revolve around 6 people who become entangled and unable to escape, Park Hee-Soo plays the central character who witnesses an accident and makes a deal.

“Karma” will be available to stream sometime next year.

Mei Nagano and Yuki Yamada are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Kimi ga Kokoro wo Kureta kara.” The fantasy-romance story is scripted by Keisuke Uyama (“Nobunaga Concerto“) and directed by Hiroaki Matsuyama (“Don’t Call it Mystery“). The two leads will play two young adults who both held strong feelings for each other in high school, but never expressed their feelings to each other. After an accident, Mei Nagano’s Ame Aihara meets a man from the afterlife who offers her a miracle if she will give him her heart.

Kim Dong-Wook cast in new SBS police drama series

Kim Dong-Wook is cast in SBS drama series “Not Powerful but Attractive Violent Crimes Unit” (literal title). The drama series is written by Lee Young-Chul and Lee Gwang-Jae, who previously worked together on the screenplay for 2013 tvN drama series “Potato Star 2013QR3.” The screenplay for “Not Powerful but Attractive Violent Crimes Unit” is setup as a comedy about a police detective team that performed poorly in its past. Kim Dong-Wook will play Dongbang Yoo-Bin. He worked as a professor at a university overseas, but returns to Korea to lead this police detective team.

“Not Powerful but Attractive Violent Crimes Unit” will air sometime in the first half of 2024 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer added for Coupang Play drama series “Boyhood” (literal title) starring Im Si-Wan, Lee Sun-Bin, Lee Si-Woo, & Kang Hye-Won. The teaser trailer starts with Im Si-Wan as Jang Byeong-Tae stating “A boy should have a dream. My dream is not to be beaten.” Jang Byeong-Tae is regularly bullied and beaten at his school. When he transfers to a new school, students mistake him for White Tiger who is the best fighter in Ansan.
