Kim Ha-Neul cast in KBS2 drama “Let Me Grab You by the Collar”

Kim Ha-Neul is cast in KBS2 drama series “Let Me Grab You by the Collar” (working & literal title). The drama series is based on web novel “Oanyu: Myeoksal Hanbeon Jabhibshida” by Nyureoki. Actor Yeon Woo-Jin has received an offer to play the lead male role and he is currently considering the offer. The screenplay for “Let Me Grab You by the Collar” is setup as a thriller with Kim Ha-Neul playing Seo Jung-Won. She is a famous journalist and has revealed numerous scoops on her currents event TV program. Her life changes, when it is revealed her husband’s mistress has died and she becomes the suspect in the mistress’s death.

“Let Me Grab You by the Collar” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Park Min-Young and Na In-Woo cast in tvN drama “Marry My Husband”

Park Min-Young and Na In-Woo are cast for lead roles in tvN drama series “Marry My Husband” (literal title). Lee Yi-Kyung, Song Ha-Yoon, Lee Gi-Kwang, & Gong Min-Jung are cast also cast in major supporting character roles. The fantasy drama series is based on webcomic “Nae Nampyeongwa Gyeolhonhaejweo” by Seong So Jak and directed by Park Won-Gook (“Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist“). Park Min-Young will play Kang Ji-Won for “Marry My Husband.” She is killed by her husband, but wakes up 10 years earlier when she was only dating him. Na In-Woo will play Yoo Ji-Hyeok. He is a co-worker of Kang Ji-Won and has a crush on her.

“Marry My Husband” will first air January 1, 2024 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 8:50 PM time slot after “A Bloody Lucky Day“).

Lee Sun-Kyun drops out of drama “No Way Out”

Actor Lee Sun-Kyun has dropped out of upcoming drama series “No Way Out” due to his involvement in a drug investigation by the Incheon Police. The drama series “No Way Out” co-stars Yoo Jae-Myung, Kim Moo-Yul, & Lee Kwang-Soo and is scripted by Lee Su-Jin (“Han Gong-Ju“). Lee Sun-Kyun is currently involved in a drug investigation by the The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency. His name came up while the police investigated the use of drugs at Gangnam area host bars. Lee Sun-Kyung also filed a report with the Incheon Police last week that he was being blackmailed by suspects in the drug investigation. Meanwhile, filming for “No Way Out” began October 16, 2023 and the Incheon Police revealed their drug investigation on October 18, 2023. Lee Sun-Kyun did not film any scenes for the drama series prior to his departure as he was scheduled to begin filming on October 21, 2023. A two week hiatus is to take place for the filming of the drama series while the production team seeks to find a replacement for Lee Sun-Kyun.

Teaser trailer for Disney+ drama “Dragons of Wonder Hatch”

Teaser trailer added for Disney+ drama series “Dragons of Wonder Hatch” starring Sena Nakajima & Daiken Okudaira. The fantasy drama series combines a mixture of live-action and animation. The teaser trailer begins with Sena Nakajima as Nagi stating (0:18) “I want to dream, but I have grown up in a world where they don’t let me dream.” Meanwhile four supporting cast members have also been announced: Rena Tanaka, Masaki Miura, Riko Narumi, & Sumire. Rena Tanaka will play Hana. She is the late mother of Nagi (Sena Nakajima) and was a popular mangaka. Masaki Miura will play Taichi. He is the father of Nagi and raised Nagi by himself. Riko Narumi will play Ayana and she works as a public defender. Lastly, Sumire will play Saira. She lives in the alternate world Upananta and works as a researcher.

“Dragons of Wonder Hatch” will be available to stream from December 20, 2023.

Lee Bo-Young, Lee Mu-Saeng, Lee Chung-Ah, & Lee Min-Jae cast in Coupang Play drama “Hide”

Lee Bo-Young, Lee Mu-Saeng, Lee Chung-Ah, & Lee Min-Jae are cast in Coupang Play drama series “Hide.” The drama series is based on 2017-2020 BBC TV series “Keeping Faith.” In Coupang Play’s “Hide,”Lee Bo-Young will play Na Moon-Young. She searches for her husband, played by Lee Mu-Saeng, who suddenly disappeared. Yoo Bo-Ra (screenwriter of JTBC drama series “Reflection of You“) also takes part in “Hide” as a show creator.

“Hide” will be available to stream sometime in the first half of 2024 in South Korea.

First teaser trailer added for ENA drama series “Tell Me That You Love Me” starring Jung Woo-Sung and Shin Hyun-Bin. The romance drama series is a remake of 1995 TBS drama series “Tell Me That You Love Me” starring Etsushi Toyokawa and Takako Tokiwa. In the ENA version, Jung Woo-Sung will play hearing impaired painter Cha Jin-Woo and Shin Hyun-Bin plays aspiring actress Jung Mo-Eun. Yuumi Kawai cast in movie “An no Koto”

Yuumi Kawai is cast in movie “An no Koto.” The film is written and directed by Yu Irie (“Vigilante“) and based on a true story that Yu Irie read about in a June, 2020 newspaper article. In the movie, Yuumi Kawai will play An. She grew up in a very difficult environment and became addicted to drugs. She then met some people who gave her hope with their kindness.

“An no Koto” will be released June 7, 2024 in Japan.

Jung Ryeo-Won & Wi Ha-Joon are cast in tvN drama series “Graduation.” The romance drama series will have Jung Ryeo-Won play Seo Hye-Jin. She is a veteran Korean language instructor at a private institute in Gangnam. Wi Ha-Joon will play Lee Joon-Ho. He was taught by Seo Hye-Jin before going into a prestigious university and landing a job at a large company. They then meet again after 10 years.

“Graduation” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.
