Kenta Kiritani cast in WOWOW drama “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane”

Kenta Kiritani is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane.” Also cast for major supporting characters are Kana Kurashina, Ryosuke Hashimoto, Misako Renbutsu, and Yuki Saito. The dark mystery screenplay is based on 2019 novel “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane” by Yukiko Mari. For Kenta Kiritani, he will play Ryo Hashimoto in the drama series. He works as an editor and looks into a murder case that took place 18 years ago. The case involved a teenage daughter and her boyfriend murdering her parents.

“Saka no Ue no Akai Yane” will consist of 5 episodes and first air March 3, 2024.

Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “The Bequeathed” starring Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Hee-Soon, & Park Byung-Eun. The mystery-thriller screenplay is written by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“) and directed by Min Hong-Nam. Min Hong-Nam has previously worked as an assistant director on several films directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, including “Train To Busan,” “Psychokinesis,” and “Peninsula.” Caption on the teaser poster below states “Unavoidable ill-fated relationship. Desire calling for blood. The place where all the truth point to.”

Tomohisa Yamashita cast in Fuji TV drama “Blue Moment”

Tomohisa Yamashita is cast for the lead role in Fuji TV drama series “Blue Moment.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Blue Moment” by Kana Ozawa. For drama series “Blue Moment,” Tomohisa Yamashita will play Kankuro Haruhara. He is the chief weather researcher at the Special Disaster Response Headquarters. He is able to use his vast knowledge on meteorology and process vast amounts of data to stay ahead of the curve during difficult times.

“Blue Moment” will first air April, 2024 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Wednesday 10PM time slot after “Konkatsu 1000 Knock“).

Trailer added for Channel A drama series “Between Him and Her” starring Lee Dong-Hae and Lee Seol. The drama series is based on webcomic “Namgwa Yeo” by Hyeo No. The trailer begins with Jung Hyun-Sung (Lee Dong-Hae) and Han Sung-Ok (Lee Seol) meeting face to face by the elevator at a motel. They are in a relationship together, but they are both accompanied by another person. MBC to air drama “Wonderful World”

MBC to air drama series “Wonderful World” starring Kim Nam-Joo & Cha Eun-Woo. The drama series will air in MBC’s Friday and Saturday 9:50 PM time slot from March, 2024, following the conclusion of “Knight Flower.” In addition, Kim Kang-Woo and Lim Se-Mi are now cast to play major supporting characters in the drama series.

Kim Kang-Woo will play Kang Soo-Ho. He is married to Eun Soo-Hyun (Kim Nam-Joo) and works as an anchorman. He loves his wife Eun Soo-Hyun and their son with all his heart, but after their son’s death his life is shaken.  Lim Se-Mi will play Han Yoo-Ri. She is a close friend of Eun Soo-Hyun.

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Ikoku Nikki” starring Yui Aragaki and Ikoi Hayase. The film is directed by Natsuki Seta (“Parks“) and based on manga series “Ikoku Nikki” by Tomoko Yamashita. The teaser trailer begins with Yui Aragaki as Makio Kodai telling her niece, whom she meets at a funeral, “I hated your mother with all my heart, but I will never trample on you. If you don’t have a place to stay, you can stay with me.”

“Ikoku Nikki” is now scheduled for release June, 2024 in Japan.
