Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix movie “Badland Hunters” starring Ma Dong-Seok, Lee Hee-Jun, & Lee Jun-Young. The post-apocalyptic film is set after an earthquake that has devastated South Korea and survivors must fend for themselves. Caption on the poster states “The world that has come to an end, we need an hunter.”

“Badland Hunters” will be released January 26, 2024 in South Korea.

See list of winners & nominees at the just concluded 2023 KBS Drama Awards. Big winners for this year’s events includes “Korea-Khitan War,” “The Matchmakers,” and “Live Your Own Life.” “Korea-Khitan War” won in 7 different categories with Choi Soo-Jong receiving the Grand Prize award and Kim Dong-Joon receiving the Best Actor award. “The Matchmakers” won in 5 different categories with Ro Woon receiving the Best Actor award and Cho Yi-Hyun receiving the Excellent Actress award. “Live Your Own Life” won in 4 different categories with Uee receiving the Best Actress award. Drama series “Oasis” also won in 7 different categories.

See list of winners and nominees at the just concluded 2023 MBC Drama Awards. The big winner of the night was drama series “My Dearest” with actor Namkoong Min winning the Grand Prize, Ahn Eun-Jin winning the Best Actress award, and the Best Drama Award. “My Dearest” received a total of 8 awards. Drama series “The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” received a total of 3 awards, with Best Actress award going to Lee Se-Young and Excellent Actor award to Bae In-Hyuk.

Park Shin-Hye and Kim Jae-Young cast in SBS drama “The Judge from Hell”

Park Shin-Hye and Kim Jae-Young are cast in SBS drama series “The Judge from Hell” (literal title). The drama series title is also a literal description of Park Shin-Hy’s character Kang Bit-Na. She works as a judge, but she is actually a demon from Hell who punishes evil people. Kim Jae-Young will play Han Da-On. He works as a detective.

“The Judge from Hell” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for SBS drama “Flexx Cop”

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Flexx Cop” starring Ahn Bo-Hyun & Park Ji-Hyun. The drama series, which revolves around a fun loving police officer (Ahn Bo-Hyun), who also happens to be extremely wealthy and part of a chaebol family. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:07) “Chaebol member who became a police officer,” (0:10) “In coordination with detectives of a violent crimes team” and (0:13) “Drama that catches bad chaebol.”

“Flexx Cop” first airs January 26, 2024 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday & Saturday 10PM time slot after “My Demon“).

Kenta Kiritani cast in WOWOW drama “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane”

Kenta Kiritani is cast for the lead role in WOWOW drama series “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane.” Also cast for major supporting characters are Kana Kurashina, Ryosuke Hashimoto, Misako Renbutsu, and Yuki Saito. The dark mystery screenplay is based on 2019 novel “Saka no Ue no Akai Yane” by Yukiko Mari. For Kenta Kiritani, he will play Ryo Hashimoto in the drama series. He works as an editor and looks into a murder case that took place 18 years ago. The case involved a teenage daughter and her boyfriend murdering her parents.

“Saka no Ue no Akai Yane” will consist of 5 episodes and first air March 3, 2024.

Teaser trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “The Bequeathed” starring Kim Hyun-Joo, Park Hee-Soon, & Park Byung-Eun. The mystery-thriller screenplay is written by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“) and directed by Min Hong-Nam. Min Hong-Nam has previously worked as an assistant director on several films directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, including “Train To Busan,” “Psychokinesis,” and “Peninsula.” Caption on the teaser poster below states “Unavoidable ill-fated relationship. Desire calling for blood. The place where all the truth point to.”
