Trailer & poster for live-action film “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final”

Trailer and poster added for live-action film “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final” starring Sho Hirano & Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on manga series “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensaitachi no Renai Zunosen” by Aka Akasaka and is a sequel to 2019 live-action film “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.” Caption on the teaser poster states “I want to get a confession this time.” Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Koifuru Tsukiyo ni Kimi Omou” by King & Prince. That song and a track by singer Ado are played in the trailer.

“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final” will be released August 20, 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & posters for movie “What She Likes”

Teaser trailer and teaser posters added for movie “What She Likes” (literal title) starring Fuju Kamio & Anna Yamada. Movie is based on 2018 novel “Kanojo ga Sukina Mono wa Homo de Atte Boku dewa Nai” by Naoto Asahara and was previously adapted into 2019 NHK drama series “Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru.” The teaser trailer begins with Sae Miura (Anna Yamada), who doesn’t know Jun Ando (Fuju Kamio) is gay, confessing her feelings to him. 

“What She Likes” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Teaser trailer and two teaser posters added for live-action film “What Did You Eat Yesterday?” (literal title) starring Hidetoshi Nishijima & Seiyo Uchino. Movie is based on 2007 manga series “Kinou Nani Tabeta?” by Fumi Yoshinaga and directed by Kazuhito Nakae. 2019 TV Tokyo drama series “What Did You Eat Yesterday?” is also based on the same manga series and stars Hidetoshi Nishijima & Seiyo Uchino.

“What Did You Eat Yesterday?” will be released November 3, 2021 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “The Great Yokai War: Guardians”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Great Yokai War: Guardians” starring Kokoro Terada, Hana Sugisaki, & Takao Osawa. The trailer and poster shows the Daimajin, which is a Demon God and he saves people. The movie itself features the impending doom of the world and a great war taking place among the yokai. Standing in the middle of all this is Kei Watanabe (Kokoro Terada).

“The Great Yokai War: Guardians” will be released August 13, 2021 in Japan.

Tatsuya Fujiwara & Kenichi Matsuyama cast in movie “Noise”

Tatsuya Fujiwara & Kenichi Matsuyama are cast in live-action film “Noise.” The film is based manga series “Noise” by Tetsuya Tsutsui (“Prophecy“) and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. Tatsuya Fujiwara & Kenichi Matsuyama famously starred together in live-actioin film “Death Note.” This time around, they will play residents on a remote island. They end up killing a murderer and trying to cover up his death.

“Noise” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Yuya Endo & Kanji Tsuda cast in movie “Onoda”


Yuya Endo and Kanji Tsuda are cast in movie “Onoda.” The film is based on the life of Hiroo Onoda. He was a soldier during World War II and stationed on a small island in the Philippines. When the war ended, he went up into the mountains and held out for 29 more years. For the movie, Yuya Endo will play the younger days of Hiroo Onoda and Kanji Tsuda will play middle-age Hiroo Onoda. The cast will be all Japanese, but companies from France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Japan are working together to produce the film.

“Onoda” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Method of Repulsing the Dove” starring Tatsuya Fujiwara & Tao Tsuchiya. The mystery film is based 2014 novel “Hato no Gekitaiho” by Shogo Sato (“The Life Story of Bookstore Clerk Michiru“) and directed by Hideta Takahata (“Harajuku Denier“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Hazeru Shinzo” by musical band Kirinji feat. Awich. “Hazeru Shinzo” plays in the main trailer.

“The Method of Repulsing the Dove” will be released August 27, 2021 in Japan.
