Naohito Fujiki, Michiko Kichise cast in WOWOW drama “Black Swan Lake”

Naohito Fujiki, Michiko KichiseKen Miyake, and Naomi Zaizen are cast in WOWOW drama series “Black Swan Lake.” The drama series is based on 2019 novel “Kokucho no Mizuumi” by Makoto Usami & directed by Kazuyuki Iwata. For the drama seris, Naohito Fujiki will play main character Shota Zaizen. He is a successful CEO, but his daughter gets kidnapped. Michiko Kichise will play his wife Yuko Zaizen.

“Black Swan Lake” will consist of 5 episodes and first air July, 2021 (takes over WOWOW’s Saturday 10PM time slot.

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final”

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final” starring Sho Hirano & Kanna Hashimoto. Movie is based on 2015 manga series “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensaitachi no Renai Zunosen” by Aka Akasaka and is a sequel to 2019 movie “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.” The teaser begins with captions that state “Love is war.”

“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Final” will be released August 20, 2021 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & supporting cast for movie “And, the Baton Was Passed”

Teaser trailer and supporting cast announced for movie “And, the Baton Was Passed” (literal title) starring Mei Nagano, Kei Tanaka, & Satomi Ishihara. The first batch of announced supporting cast members are Kenshi OkadaNao OmoriMasachika Ichimura, and Kurumi Inagaki.  Meanwhile, the teaser trailer begins with Mei Nagano stating “My last name has changed 4 times.” In the movie, her mother has remarried several times and she now lives with her stepfather. Movie is based on 2018 novel “Soshite, Baton wa Watasareta” by Maiko Seo.

Trailer & poster for movie “The Aobas’ Dining Table”

Trailer and poster added for movie “The Aobas’ Dining Table” starring Naomi Nishida & Miwako Ichikawa. The release date is also set for June 18, 2021 in Japan. Movie follows the relationship of two women who were once close friends, but something happened in their past to cause them to separate. The daughter of one of the women begins to stay at the home of the other women to attend summer school. Movie is directed by Soushi Matsumoto.

Trailer & poster for movie “Tomorrow’s Dinner Table”

Trailer and poster added for movie “Tomorrow’s Dinner Table” starring Miho Kanno, Mitsuki Takahata, & Machiko Ono. After the first scene flashes a woman sitting behind glass (presumably the visiting room of a prison), the trailer shows three mothers raising their sons. Each of the mothers has a son named Yu. The trailer then cuts to a far darker tone with narration that states “One day, one Yu was murdered by his mother.” Movie is based on 2016 novel “Ashita no Shokutaku” by Michiko Yazuki and directed by Takahisa Zeze.

“Tomorrow’s Dinner Table” will be released May 28, 2021 in Japan.

Tanaka, and Satomi Ishihara are cast in movie “And, the Baton Was Passed”

Mei Nagano, Kei Tanaka, and Satomi Ishihara are cast in movie “And, the Baton Was Passed” (literal title). The film is based on 2018 novel “Soshite, Baton wa Watasareta” by Maiko Seo and directed by Tetsu Maeda. This is the fourth film adapted from a novel by Maiko Seo after 2007 “Happy Dining Table,” 2008 “Faraway Heaven,” and 2017 “Our Meal For Tomorrow.” Filming for the movie began late October, 2020 and finished November, 2020.

“And, the Baton Was Passed” will be released October 29, 2021 in Japan.
