Atsuko Maeda (formerly of ‘AKB48’) is cast in upcoming movie “Mukoku” co-starring Gou Ayano and Nijiro Murakami. In the upcoming film, Atsuko Maeda will play Kazuno. She is the girlfriend of Kengo (Gou Ayano).
Also cast in supporting roles are Jun Fubuki, Kaoru Kobayashi & Akira Emoto. Jun Fubuki will play Mitsuko Ono. She is the owner of a small restaurant owner which Kengo and Kazuno frequent. Kaoru Kobayashi will play Shozo Yatabe. He is the father of Kengo. Lastly, Akira Emoto will play Seppo Mitsumura. He is the kendo teacher of Kengo. Movie is based on the novel “Mukoku” by Shu Fujisawa and directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri.
“Mukoku” will be released sometime during summer, 2017 in Japan.
