Trailer for movie “Tsuioku”

Trailer added for movie “Tsuioku” starring Junichi Okada, Shun Oguri & Tasuku Emoto. Equally as impressive, movie features Masami Nagasawa, Fumino Kimura, Sakura Ando & Hidetaka Yoshioka. Movie is directed by Yasuo Furuhata. Story for “Tsuioku” (literally “Memory”) follows three childhood friends who meet as adults. One person is now a detective (Junichi Okada), one is the suspect (Shun Oguri) and the other the victim (Tasuku Emoto). Their past also comes to the foreground.

“Tsuioku” is now scheduled for release May 6, 2017 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Sakurada Reset 1”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “Sakurada Reset 1” starring Shuhei Nomura, Yuina Kuroshima & Yuna Taira. Movie is based on the light novel “Sakurada Risetto” by Yutaka Kono. Story for the film follows Misora Haruki (Yuina Kuroshima) who has the power to go back in time and Kei Asai (Shuhei Nomura) who has a special memory ability.

The teaser poster also reveals that “Sakurada Reset 1” will be released March 25, 2017 in Japan. “Sakurada Reset 2” will then be released May 13, 2017 in Japan.

Ai Hashimoto, Mei Nagano & Shota Sometani cast in movie “Parks”

Ai Hashimoto, Mei Nagano & Shota Sometani are cast in new movie “Parks.” The film is written & directed by Natsuki Seta (“A Liar and a Broken Girl“) and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Inokashira Park in Tokyo, Japan.

In the film “Parks,” Ai Hashimoto plays college student Jun. She meets high school student Haru (Mei Nagano) who looks just like her deceased father’s girlfriend Sachiko. Jun and Haru then meet Tokio (Shota Sometani) who is the grandson of Sachiko. They learn that Sachiko has passed away but discover an open-reel tape from her belongings.

“Parks” will be released April 22, 2017 in Japan.

Takeru Satoh & Tao Tsuchiya cast in based-on-a-true-story film “Bride for 8 Years”

Takeru Satoh & Tao Tsuchiya are cast in based-on-a-true-story film “Bride for 8 Years” (literal title). The movie is based on autobiographical novel “8 Nen Goshi no Hanayome Kimi no Me ga Sametanara” by Hisashi Nakahara and Mai Nakahara. Takahisa Zeze will direct the film.

Story for the film will have Takeru Satoh & Tao Tsuchiya playing Hisashi and Mai respectively. They are engaged, but Mai becomes seriously ill due to a brain disease. She eventually goes into a coma. Hisashi though doesn’t abandon his fiance. Mai does wake up from her coma, but she has lost all memory of her fiance.

“8 Nen Goshi no Hanayome” will be released sometime during winter, 2017 in Japan.

Character visuals for live-action film “Gintama”

Here’s 3 character visuals of Shun Oguri, Masaki Suda and Kanna Hashimoto from upcoming live-action film “Gintama.” The character visuals are of Gintoki Sakata (Shun Oguri), Shinpachi Shimura (Masaki Suda) and Kagura (Kanna Hashimoto). Movie is based on popular manga series “Gintama” by Hideaki Sorachi and directed by Yuichi Fukuda. More character visuals are expected to be released in the coming months. The character visuals also reveal that the film will be released sometime during summer, 2017 in Japan.

Masami Nagasawa, Ryuhei Matsuda & Hiroki Hasegawa cast in movie “Strolling Invader”

Masami Nagasawa, Ryuhei Matsuda & Hiroki Hasegawa are cast in movie “Strolling Invader” directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. The movie is based on the stage play “Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha” written and directed by Tomohiro Maekawa. Premise for the film deals with a husband played by Ryuhei Matsuda whose body is taken over by an alien conducting research before an invasion.

“Strolling Invader” will be released September 16, 2017 in Japan.

Supporting cast announced for live-action film “Sensei!”

Supporting cast members have been announced for upcoming live-action film “Sensei!” starring Toma Ikuta and Suzu Hirose. Cast in supporting roles are Ryo Ryusei, Aoi Morikawa, Kentaro, Tomoya Nakamura & Manami Higa. Movie “Sensei!” is based on manga series of same name by Kazune Kawahara and directed by Takahiro Miki.

For live-action film “Sensei!,” Ryo Ryusei will play Kosuke Kawai. He is a friend of Hibiki (Suzu Hirose) and belongs to the same high school Japanese archery club.  Aoi Morikawa will play Megumi Chigusa. She is also friends with Hibiki and member of the same archery club. Kentaro will play Yusuke Fujioka. He is the top player for another high school archery club. Tomoya Nakamura will play Masato Sekiya.  He is a fellow teacher as Kosaku (Toma Ikuta). Manami Higa will play Sachiko Nakajima. She is also a teacher with Kosaku and Masato Sekiya.

“Sensei!” will be released sometime during autumn, 2017 in Japan.

Takeshi Kitano directs, stars in movie “Outrage Saishusho”

Takeshi Kitano is set to direct and star in movie “Outrage Saishusho” (literally “Outrage Last Chapter”). Movie is the third and final installment in the “Outrage” films. Actors set to return in “Outrage Saishusho” are Toshiyuki Nishida, Sansei Shiomi, Tatsuo Nadaka, Ken Mitsuishi, Ikuji Nakamura, Yutaka Matsushige and Hakuryu. Actors set to play new characters in the film will be announced at a later date. Story for “Outrage Saishusho” will take place after “Outrage Beyond.”
