Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Bros. Maxman” starring Ryo Ryusei, Rio Uchida & Yudai Chiba. Movie is a sequel to 2015 film “Mr. Maxman” which starred Yudai Chiba. Sequel film “Bros. Maxman” has Ryo Ryusei playing the younger brother of Masayoshi Taniguchi from the first film.
“Bros. Maxman” will be released January 7, 2017.
Teaser trailer for live-action film “Itazurana Kiss The Movie: Campus” starring Kanta Sato & Reina Visa. Movie is part 2 in a planned three part trilogy. Part 1 of the trilogy – “Itazurana Kiss The Movie in High School” – opens today in Japan and part 2 is scheduled for release sometime January, 2017 in Japan. Part 3 – “Itazurana Kiss The Movie: Propose” will be released sometime later in 2017.
Here’s a character cut of Yudai Chiba in upcoming live-action film “Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu” co-starring Tao Tsuchiya & Ryota Katayose. In the upcoming film, Yudai Chiba plays Takane Serikawa. He is a medical intern who gives biting remarks. He is also the first love of Setoka Tachibana (Tao Tsuchiya). After many years, he reappears in Setoka Tachibana’s life. “Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu” is based on manga series “Ani ni Ai Saresugite Komattemasu” by Rina Yagami.
“Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu” will be released sometime during summer, 2017 in Japan.
Ayami Nakajo is cast in new live-action film “Anonymous Noise” (“Fukumenkei Noizu”). Movie is based on manga series “Fukumenkei Noizu” by Ryoko Fukuyama and directed by Koichiro Miki (“Evergreen Love“). In the movie “Anonymous Noise,” Ayami Nakajo plays high school freshman Nino Arisugawa. She has a talent as a singer. Nino Arisugawa is then reunited with two childhood friends that now attend the same high school as her. To play her character, Ayami Nakajo underwent voice training in August, 2016 and filming for the movie began November, 2016.
“Anonymous Noise” opens autumn, 2017 in Japan.
Hiroshi Abe is cast in China-Japan co-produced film “Kukai” starring Shota Sometani. Movie is directed by Chen Kaige.
In the film, Hiroshi Abe will play historical figure Nakamaro Abe. He was a scholar, administrator and poet. Nakamaro Abe serves Emperor Xuanzong of Tang as a member of the Japanese mission to the Tang dynasty.
“Kukai” is expected to be released sometime in 2018.
Kento Yamazaki & Alice Hirose are cast in new movie “Hyoka.” The film is based on 2001 novel “Hyoka” by Honobu Yonezawa and directed by Mari Asato. In the film, Kento Yamazaki will play Hotaro Oreki and Alice Hirose will play Eru Chitanda. They are high school students who both join the classic literature club. There, they take on various mysterious related to the school.
“Hyoka” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Main trailer for movie “Hamon: Yakuza Boogie” starring Kuranosuke Sasaki, Yu Yokoyama (‘Kanjani Eight’) & Keiko Kitagawa. Movie is based on Naoki Prize winning novel “Hamon” by Hiroyuki Kurokawa. Story for the film follows a yakuza member (Kuranosuke Sasaki) and a construction consultant (Yu Yokoyama) as they try to track down a movie producer who swindled money from a yakuza boss. Their chase leads them to Macao.
“Hamon: Yakuza Boogie” opens January 28, 2017 in Japan.
Seika Furuhata is cast in upcoming death-game film “The Werewolf Game: Lovers.” Movie is the fifth installment in the “The Werewolf Game” series. All of the films are based on novel “Jinro Gemu” by Ryo Kawakami. Also cast in supporting roles are Junya Ikeda, Ai Moritaka, Yuki Saso, Yuya Hirata, Megumi Mizoguchi and Koki Maeda. Premise for the film has past contestants in the “The Werewolf Game” taking part in the killing game with new positions of “Cupid” and “Lover” added to the game.
