Ryoki Miyama, Shiori Kubo, & Chansung are cast in movie “Dare yori mo Tsuyoku Dakishimete.” The film is adapted from 2005 novel “Dare yori mo Tsuyoku Dakishimete” by Fuyuki Shindo and directed by Eiji Uchida (“Lowlife Love“). Ryoki Miyama will play Mizushima. He has OCD and mysophobia. His disorder causes him to be unable to touch anything, including his girlfriend played by Shiori Kubo.

Movie is written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa (“Tokyo Sonata“) and will have its world premiere in the Out of Competition section at this year’s Venice Film Festival (August 28-Sept. 7, 2024). Arata Sato and Miho Watanabe are cast in movie “Seishun Gestalt Houkai.” Movie is based on 2021 novel “Seishun Gestalt Houkai” by Tomato Marui and screenplay adaptation written by Kisa Miura (“Eye Love You“). The film is set at a high school where a girl, played by Miho Watanabe. suddenly comes down with “adolescent face loss syndrome.” Only one other student, played by Arata Sato, notices something off in her. The illness depicted in the original novel and movie is a fictional disorder where a youth loses their own individuality and identity, so much so that they can’t recognize their own face.

Fumiya Takahashi and Nanase Nishino are cast in movie “The Boy and the Dog” (literal title). The film is based on 2020 short story collection “Shonen to Inu” by Seishu Hase and directed by Takahisa Zeze. The film’s screenplay adaptation will also incorporate original story elements. Over the course of several years, the film will follow a dog named Tamon and his influence on several different owners that take him in.

Casting announced and first teaser trailer added for suspense movie “Shoutai.” Announced as cast members for the film are Riho Yoshioka, Shintaro Morimoto, Anna Yamada, and Takayuki Yamada. The identity of the actor who will play main character Kaburagi has not yet been revealed. The film is based on 2020 novel “Shoutai” by Tamehito Somei, which was previously adapted into 2022 WOWOW drama series “Shoutai” starring Kazuya Kamenashi.

First teaser trailer added for comedy live-action film “Saint Young Men” starring Kenichi Matsuyama and Shota Sometani. The film is based on manga series “Saint Oniisan” by Hikaru Nakamura and directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“Black Night Parade“). For the film, Kenichi Matsuyama will play Jesus and Shota Sometani will play Buddha. They enjoy life together in Tokyo, when trouble suddenly brews.
