Main trailer and poster added for movie “Stolen Identity The Last Hacker” starring Ryo Narita, Yudai Chiba, & Kwon Eun-Bi. The film is the final installment in the “Stolen Identity” trilogy that started with 2018 movie “Stolen Identity.” For the movie, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Dried Flower” by singer Imase. The track is also featured in the main trailer.

Masaki Suda cast in movie “Sunset Sunrise”

Masaki Suda is cast in movie “Sunset Sunrise.” The film, which is a comedy, is based on 2022 novel “Sunset Sunrise” by Shuhei Nire and screenplay adaptation written by Kankuro Kudo (“Too Young To Die!“). Masaki Suda will also reunite with director Yoshiyuki Kishi, after last working together on 2017 films “Wilderness: Part One” and “Wilderness: Part Two.” Story for “Sunset Sunrise” is set in 2020, during the pandemic. Masaki Suda will play a man named Shinsaku. He moves out to a small town to work remotely and pursue his hobby of fishing.

Suzu Hirose cast in movie “A Pale View of Hills”

Suzu Hirose is cast in movie “A Pale View of Hills.” The film is based on 1982 novel  “A Pale View of Hills” by Kazuo Ishiguro, who won the Nobel Prize in 2017 and wrote the original novel that was made into the 1993 British film “The Remains of the Day.” Kei Ishikawa (“A Man“) will direct the movie and also handle the screenplay adaptation. Filming for the movie has already commenced.

“A Pale View of Hills” will be released sometime during summer, 2025 in Japan.

Eiji Akaso and Moka Kamishiraishi are cast in movie “366 Days.” The romance film is inspired by 2008 classic song “366 Days” by HY. Fuji TV recently aired their own drama series “366 Days,” starring Alice Hirose & Gordon Maeda, that is also inspired by the song “366 Days” by HY. The drama series and movie version feature different stories that are not related. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer has been released for the movie and it can be viewed at AsianWiki.

Fuju Kamio and Hiyori Sakurada are cast in movie “Under the Big Onion.” The film is inspired by 1985 song “Okina Tamanegi no Shita de” (“Under the Big Onion”) by Bakufu-Slump. Story for the movie revolves around two part time workers at bar-cafe called “Double.” They never meet in person, but they communicate through a notebook used at work and fall in love. Teaser trailer and poster for movie “Solitary Gourmet”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Solitary Gourmet” starring Yutaka Matsushige. The movie is based on manga series  “Kodoku no Gourmet” by Masayuki Qusumi and follows long running TV Tokyo drama series franchise “Solitary Gourmet.” The movie version will have Goro Inogashira (Yutaka Matsushige) traveling internationally in search of the ultimate soup. The teaser trailer reveals that he will be in Paris, France and an as of yet unknown coastal area. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:05) “In search of the ultimate soup,” and (0:10) “to Paris, France.”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Trillion Game” starring Ren Meguro and Hayato Sano. The movie is based on manga series “Trillion Game” by Riichiro Inagaki and follows TBS drama series “Trillion Game.” The movie version features an original story from the drama series. In addition, Mio ImadaRiko Fukumoto and Koji Kikkawa are announced as new supporting cast members for the movie. All three of the announced actors will reprise their roles from the drama series version. Caption on the teaser poster states “Fight until you win.”

Takako Matsu and Hokuto Matsumura are cast in movie “1st Kiss.” Movie is scripted by Yuji Sakamoto (“Quartet“) and directed by Ayuko Tsukahara (“La Grande Maison Tokyo“). The film will have Takako Matasu play Kanna Suzuri. After the death of her husband in accident, she somehow travels back in time to right before she first met her husband. Masahiro Motoki & Kyoko Koizumi cast in movie “Umi no Chinmoku”

Masahiro Motoki, Kyoko Koizumi, Kiichi Nakai, & Koji Ishizaka are cast in movie “Umi no Chinmoku.” Movie is features an original screenplay by Sou Kuramoto (“Yasuragi no Sato“) and directed by Setsuro Wakamatsu (“Aircraft Carrier Ibuki“). The film starts off with a scandal at an art exhibition, when one of the paintings is discovered to be a counterfeit. Later, a woman’s dead boy is found in Hokkaido. A genius painter named Ryuji Tsuyama (Masahiro Motoki), who disappeared from the public’s eye, is found to have links to both incidents.

Ryohei Suzuki and Kasumi Arimura cast in movie “Hana Manma”

Ryohei Suzuki and Kasumi Arimura are cast in movie “Hana Manma.” The movie is based on 2005 novel “Hana Manma” by Minato Shukawa and directed by Tetsu Maeda (“Do Unto Others“). The novel won the 133rd Naoki Prize in 2005. The movie version adapts the two main characters from the original novel (which was focused on their childhood days) and shows them as adults. The two main characters are old brother Toshiki Kato (Ryohei Suzuki) and younger sister Fumiko Kato (Kasumi Arimura).

“Hana Manma” will be released sometime spring, 2025 in Japan.
