Movie is based on 2014 novel “Aimitagai” by Tei Chujo & directed by Shogo Kusano (“The Longest Photo in The World“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been announced as “Yoake no My Way” by lead actress Haru Kuroki. This is the first time that Haru Kuroki has performed a theme song for a movie. The theme song was originally written and composed by Ichiro Araki in 1979.
“Aimitagai” will be released November 1, 2024 in Japan and will also have its international premiere at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival.

Trailer and poster added for movie “Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo” starring Yuki Amami, Kazuya Ohashi, & Rikka Ihara. The film, which is based on children’s novel series “Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo” by Reiko Hiroshima, tells the story of a mysterious candy shop that allows wishes to be granted to customers of its sweets. The movie’s theme song has also been announced as “Negai wa Gyosan” by Wednesday Campanella. The theme song is played during the trailer. Also newly announced supporting actors for the film are Kokoro Hirasawa, Himena Irei, Noa Shiroyama, Tenta Banka, Mirai Yamamoto, Keisuke Watanabe, Rie Tanaka, and Jiro.

Rintaro Hachimura and Shuntaro Yanagi are cast for lead roles in movie “Tanin wa Jigoku da.” The film is based on Korean webcomic “Taineun Jiokida” by Kim Yong-Ki, which was previously adapted into 2019 OCN drama series “Strangers From Hell” starring Im Si-Wan and Lee Dong-Wook. Also cast in “Tanin wa Jigoku da” are Yui Okada, Sayaka Aoki, Takato Okura, and Masato Hagiwara.

Kento Yamazaki & Minami Hamabe are cast in live-action movie “Under Ninja.” Movie is based on manga series “Under Ninja” by Kengo Hanazawa and directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“Black Night Parade“). The film will revolve around ninja’s who are secretly hiding in present day society, with Kento Yamazaki playing Kuro Kumogakure. He is a ninja from the NIN group and he receives orders to look into the group Under Ninja. Minami Hamabe plays high school student Ayaka Noguchi. She gets drawn in their fight. Masaki Suda is cast in movie “Sunset Sunrise.” The film, which is a comedy, is based on 2022 novel “Sunset Sunrise” by Shuhei Nire and screenplay adaptation written by Kankuro Kudo (“Too Young To Die!“). Masaki Suda will also reunite with director Yoshiyuki Kishi, after last working together on 2017 films “Wilderness: Part One” and “Wilderness: Part Two.” Story for “Sunset Sunrise” is set in 2020, during the pandemic. Masaki Suda will play a man named Shinsaku. He moves out to a small town to work remotely and pursue his hobby of fishing.

Suzu Hirose is cast in movie “A Pale View of Hills.” The film is based on 1982 novel “A Pale View of Hills” by Kazuo Ishiguro, who won the Nobel Prize in 2017 and wrote the original novel that was made into the 1993 British film “The Remains of the Day.” Kei Ishikawa (“A Man“) will direct the movie and also handle the screenplay adaptation. Filming for the movie has already commenced.

Fuji TV recently aired their own drama series “366 Days,” starring Alice Hirose & Gordon Maeda, that is also inspired by the song “366 Days” by HY.
