Nao and Noritake Kinashi are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Haru ni Nattara.” The family drama is scripted by Yasushi Fukuda (“Hero“) and directed by Kana Matsumoto (“Tokyo Oasis“) and Mayu Akiyama (“Rent A Friend“). The two leads will play daughter and father and they both reveal shocking news to each other on New Year’s Day.

“Haru ni Nattara” first airs January 15, 2024 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 10PM time slot after “Special Order! Metro Police Special Accounting Department“).

Maki Fukuda cast in Fuji TV drama “Konkatsu 1000 Knock”

Maki Fukuda is cast in Fuji TV drama series “Konkatsu 1000 Knock.” For Maki Fukuda, who is a member comedy trio “3ji no Heroine,” “Konkatsu 1000 Knock,” will be her first starring role in a drama series. The drama series is based on novel “Konkatsu 1000 Hon Knock” by Ayako Minami and will have Maki Fukuda play 33 year old struggling writer Ayako Minami. She tries to find a husband, with a ghost named Yamada giving her advice.

Riho Sayashi, Rio Asumi, and Satoshi Hashimoto cast in TV Tokyo drama “Oshi wo Meshiagare”

Riho Sayashi, Rio Asumi, and Satoshi Hashimoto are cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Oshi wo Meshiagare.” The drama series is based on 2023 novel “Reiwa Bulgaria Yogurt” by Ayako Miyagi. Riho Sayashi will play Yuzu Hodaishi. She became a big fan of a novel about yogurt, while she looked for a job and eventually got hired by a food company. Rio Asumi will play Itsumi Midori. She works with Yuzu Hodaishi in the PR department for the food company. Satoshi Hashimoto will play I, who is yogurt bacteria and follows Itsumi Midori.

“Oshi wo Meshiagare” will first air January 10, 2024 in Japan.

Mugi Kadowaki, Ren Nagase, and Nao Omori are cast in NTV drama series “Alice in Wonderful Kitchen.” The drama series is scripted by Shinya Tamada (“Sweet Moratorium“) and directed by Noriyoshi Sakuma (“Dr. Chocolate“) and Yuma Suzuki (“The Greatest Teacher“). Shota Watanabe is cast for the lead role in NTV live-action drama series “Sensei Sayounara.” The drama series is based on manga series “Sensei Sayounara” by Yasuko (“Southern Beach Love Story“). Shota Watanabe, who is a member of boy band Snow Man, will play high school teacher Takuro Tamura. The screenplay will depict a love story that takes place in the present day and also when Takuro Tamura was a high school student. Meanwhile, the theme song for the drama series has been revealed as “We’ll Go Together” by Snow Man.

“Sensei Sayounara” will first air January, 2024 in Japan.

Fumi Nikaido & Chae Jong-Hyeop are cast in TBS drama series “Eye Love You.” The drama series marks the first time South Korean actor Chae Jong-Hyeop will perform in a Japanese drama series. The fantasy/romantic-comedy script will have Fumi Nikaido play Yuri Motomiya. She has a special ability that allows her to hear other people’s secret thoughts when she looks into their eyes. She has shut herself away from other people because of her special ability. Things change, when she meets Korean student Yoon Te-O. When she looks into his eyes, she hears his inner thoughts but she can’t understand them due to the different language. This gives her an idea.

Sota Fukushi is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Ai no Nai Koibitotachi.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Kazuhiko Yukawa (“Our Dearest Sakura“). “Ai no Nai Koibitotachi” will depict a love story for 7 people. One of those people is Masakazu Kume played by Sota Fukushi. He has the nickname “Man Without Love.”
