Mugi Kadowaki, Ren Nagase, and Nao Omori are cast in NTV drama series “Alice in Wonderful Kitchen.” The drama series is scripted by Shinya Tamada (“Sweet Moratorium“) and directed by Noriyoshi Sakuma (“Dr. Chocolate“) and Yuma Suzuki (“The Greatest Teacher“). In “Alice in Wonderful Kitchen,” Mugi Kadowaki will play main character Alice Yaemori. She has autism and runs the restauarant Alice’s Kitchen. She loves chemistry and she uses that knowledge to create dishes that amazes.
“Alice in Wonderful Kitchen” first airs January, 2024 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Sexy Tanaka-san“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Alice Yaemori (Mugi Kadowaki) runs the small restaurant named Alice’s Kitchen. She has autism spectrum disorder, which leads her to be stubborn at times and generally poor at communicating with other people. Her condition also allows her to have phenomenal memory. She became interested in chemistry due to her single father, Shingo Yaemori (Nao Omori), who teaches chemistry at a university. With her vast knowledge in chemistry, she understands nutrients and the cooking process from a scientific viewpoint. Her cooking skills is extraordinary and her food always pleases. At her restaurant, she works with her childhood friend Kazusa Mitsumata. Even though the restaurant is quite popular, they are the only two employees who work there. While Alice Yaemori cooks dishes in the kitchen, Kazusa Mitsumata is in charge of greeting and serving food to the customers. One day, a young man named Kosei Sakae (Ren Nagase) appears at the restaurant and asks to work there as a live-in part-time worker. Since then, Alice Yaemori experiences a big change in her life.
