Han Ji-Min offered lead female role in drama series “Two Cops”

Han Ji-Min has been offered the lead female role in upcoming drama series “Two Cops.” Cho Jung-Seok has already received an offer to play the lead male character. Both performers are now considering their offers. If Han Ji-Min accepts, she will play Song Ji-An. Her character works as a reporter for a broadcasting company and she is full of justice. The lead male character is a detective who becomes possessed with the spirit of a swindler and he falls in love with the reporter.

Exact network to air the drama series has not been yet announced, although MBC is in discussion to air the drama series possibly from November, 2017.

Kento Nakajima, Yuna Taira and Yuri Chinen cast in live-action film “That Is Not a Child But a Minor”

Kento Nakajima (‘Sexy Zone’), Yuna Taira and Yuri Chinen (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’) are cast in live-action film “That Is Not a Child But a Minor.” The movie is based on manga “Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai” by Kanan Minami and directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa. Story for the film follows the marriage of Karin Oriyama (Yuna Taira) on her 16th birthday to high school senior Nao Tsurugi (Kento Nakajima). They keep their marriage a secret, but Isuzu Ebina (Yuri Chinen) learns of their secret. He has feelings for Karin Oriyama.

Filming for “That Is Not a Child But a Minor” takes place between August and September, 2017 in Tokyo and the movie will be released December 23, 2017 in Japan.

Cha Seung-Won offered lead male role in tvN drama series “Hwayuki”

Cha Seung-Won has been offered the lead male role in new tvN drama series “Hwayuki” (working title). Currently Cha Seung-Won is positively considering the offer. The drama series is based on classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West,” but reinterprets the story into the present day and has a romantic-fantasy twistt. Furthermore, the screenplay for the drama will be written by sisters Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-Ran. The Hong sisters and Cha Seung-Won previously worked together in 2011 MBC drama series “The Greatest Love.”

“Hwayuki” will air December, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and poster for movie “The 8-Year Engagement”

Teaser trailer and poster for upcoming movie “The 8-Year Engagement” starring Takeru Satoh and Tao Tsuchiya. Movie is based on autobiographical novel “8 Nen Goshi no Hanayome Kimi no Me ga Sametanara” by Hisashi Nakahara & Mai Nakahara and directed by Takahisa Zeze. Story for the films follows a fiancee who falls into a coma and when she wakes up, does not recognize her fiance.

“The 8-Year Engagement” is now set for release December 16, 2017 in Japan.

Yuko Araki cast in movie “Evil and the Mask”

Yuko Araki is cast in upcoming movie “Evil and the Mask” (“Aku to Kamen no Ruru”) co-starring Hiroshi Tamaki. Movie is based on the novel “Aku to Kamen no Ruru” by Fuminori Nakamura and directed by Teppei Nakamura. “Evil and the Mask” is the third film that is based on a novel or short story by Fuminori Nakamura.

For “Evil and the Mask,” Yuko Araki will play lead female character Kaori Kuki. Her character is adopted by a wealthy zaibatsu family, but the family is evil. Hiroshi Tamaki plays Fumihiro Kuki. He is a son from the wealthy zaibatsu family, but he kills his father to protect Kaori Kuki. He then undergoes plastic surgery and lives under a different name.

“Evil and the Mask” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Special 3 minute English subtitled trailer added for upcoming live-action film “Tokyo Ghoul” starring Masataka Kubota. The special trailer features the movie’s theme song “BANKA” by illion. illion is the solo project of Yojiro Noda from rock band “Radwimps.”  Movie “Tokyo Ghoul” is based on manga series”Tokyo Ghoul” by Sui Ishida. 18 still images from the movie can be viewed below.

Cho Jung-Seok offered lead male role in drama series “Two Cops”

Cho Jung-Seok has been offered the lead male role in new drama series “Two Cops.” Currently, Cho Jung-Seok is “positively considering” the offer. If Cho Jung-Seok accepts, he will play Detective Cha Dong-Tak. Although the detective is filled with justice, his body gets possessed by the spirit of a swindler. The two spirits within the cop somehow work together to solve cases.

Although the broadcasting station for “Two Cops” has yet to be announced, MBC is currently having discussions to air the drama series November, 2017 in South Korea.
