Akari Hayami and Tetsushi Tanaka cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Dead Stock”

Akari Hayami and Tetsushi Tanaka are cast in upcoming TV Tokyo drama series “Dead Stock” starring Nijiro Murakami. Also cast in supporting roles are Mariko Tsutsui and Yuko Nakamura. For drama series “Dead Stock,” Akari Hayami will play Saori Nikaido. She works as a director at a broadcasting station and she hates to lose. Tetsushi Tanaka will play Satoru Sayama. He is a veteran director.  Main character Riku Tsuneta (Nijiro Murakami) works as an AD and is tasked with going through archive film. He uncovers a supernatural event.

“Dead Stock” first airs July 21, 2017 in Japan.

Poster and main trailer for movie “The Werewolf Game: Mad Land”

Poster and main trailer added for upcoming movie “The Werewolf Game: Mad Land” starring Nana Asakawa (SUPER☆GiRLS). Movie is the 6th film based on novel “Jinroh Game” by Ryo Kawakami and the second release this year. The movie features Nana Asakawa as high school student Moe Koike. She is forced to take part in the “The Werewolf Game” where the survivor receives one million yen.

“The Werewolf Game: Mad Land” opens July 15, 2017 in Japan.

Ahn Jae-Hyeon cast in SBS drama series “Reunited Worlds”

Actor Ahn Jae-Hyeon is cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Reunited Worlds” (literal title) starring Yeo Jin-Goo and Lee Yeon-Hee. Ahn Jae-Hyeon will play the second lead male character role of Cha Won-Young. His character is the son of a wealthy family that runs a company. He falls in love with Eom Hyun-Soo (Lee Yeon-Hee).

First script reading for the drama series will take place June 22, 2017 and filming will begin June 24, 2017. “Reunited Worlds” will premiere July 19, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot currently held by “Suspicious Partner“).

Visual and trailer added for dTV live-action drama series “Gintama: Mitsuba hen”

Main visual and trailer added for upcoming dTV live-action drama series “Gintama: Mitsuba hen” starring Kie Kitano, Shun Oguri, Ryo Yoshizawa and Yuya Yagira. The drama series focuses on the character of Mitsuba Okita (Kie Kitano) and her relationship with Toshiro Hijikata (Yuya Yagira), younger brother Sogo Okita (Ryo Yoshizawa) and Isao Kondo (Kankuro Nakamura).

“Gintama: Mitsuba hen” airs from July 15, 2017 in Japan (the live-action film version “Gintama” opens July 14, 2017).

Yoon Gyun-Sang and Lee Sung-Kyung to make cameo in SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping”

Yoon Gyun-Sang and Lee Sung-Kyung are set to make cameo appearance in SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping” (literal title) starring Lee Jong-Suk and Bae Suzy. Yoon Gyun-Sang and Lee Sung-Kyung agreed to make the cameo appearance due to their close relationship with Lee Jong-Suk and having previously worked with director Oh Choong-Hwan in SBS drama series “Doctors.”

Filming for the drama series finishes early July, 2017 and the drama series airs from September, 2017 in South Korea.

Mei Nagano is cast in NHK’s 98th asadora “Half, Blue”

Mei Nagano is cast in upcoming NHK’s 98th asadora “Half, Blue” (“Hanbun, Aoi”). The early morning drama series will air from April 2, 2018 through September 29, 2018. Mei Nagano went through auditions involving 2366 participants and was eventually selected to play main character Suzume Nireno. The drama series will follow a young woman who leaves her hometown to become a cartoonist in Tokyo, but eventually returns to her hometown divorced and with a daughter.

Lee Joon-Hyuk and Park Hwan-Hee cast in KBS2 drama series “Are You Human Too?”

Lee Joon-Hyuk and Park Hwan-Hee are cast in supporting roles in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Are You Human Too?” starring Seo Kang-Joon and Kong Seung-Yeon. Lee Joon-Hyuk will play Ji Young-Hoon. His character works as Nam Shin’s (Seo Kang-Joon ) secretary and he is his only friend. Park Hwan-Hee will play Seo Ye-Na. She is the fiancé of Nam Shin.

Filming begins June 30, 2017 for “Are You Human Too?”

Cho Seung-Woo and Ji Sung cast in period film “Propitious Site for Grave”

Cho Seung-Woo and Ji Sung are cast for lead roles in period film “Propitious Site for Grave” (literal title).  The movie will be directed by Park Hee-Kon and set during the Joseon era. Cho Seung-Woo will play Park Jae-Sang. His job is that of a jigwan which is to discern whether a land area will bring about good fortune. Ji Sung will play historical figure Heungseon Daewongun. His son eventually becomes King Gojong. Meanwhile, Kim Sung-Kyun is cast for a supporting role in the film. He will play Kim Byung-Ki, the first son of Family Kim.

Filming for “Propitious Site for Grave” begins August, 2017.
