Oh Jung-Se cast in movie “Swing Kids”

Oh Jung-Se is cast in new movie “Swing Kids” starring Do Kyung-Soo (‘EXO-K’) and Park Hye-Soo. Movie is the 4th film directed by Kang Hyung-Chul (“Scandal Makers“/”Sunny“) and the screenplay is based on Korean musical “Rho Ki-Soo.” Story for the film is set during the Korean War, but has a musical twist. The main character played by Do Kyung-Soo is a North Korean POW in a camp in South Korea. He falls in love with tap dancing while at the POW camp. Oh Jung-Se will play a major supporting character in search of his wife. He joins a tap dancing team with the main character.

Filming for “Swing Kids” begins fall, 2017 in South Korea.

Couple poster for tvN drama series “Bride of the Water God 2017”

Couple poster for upcoming tvN drama series “Bride of the Water God 2017” starring Nam Joo-Hyuk and Shin Se-Kyung. Caption on the poster states “I looked for you for a long time my God, my servant.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Habaekui Shinboo” by Yoon Mi-Kyung and mixes elements of fantasy, romance and comedy. In the drama series, Nam Joo-Hyuk will play Ha Baek. His character is a Water God and Ha Baek means literally “Water God.” Meanwhile, Shin Se-Kyung will play Doctor So-A. She is destined to live as a servant to the Water God.

“Bride of the Water God 2017” first airs July 3, 2017 in South Korea.

Main trailer and character posters for movie “A Taxi Driver”

Main trailer and character posters added for upcoming movie “A Taxi Driver” (English title) starring Song Kang-Ho. The character posters are of Song Kang-Ho, Thomas Kretschmann, Yu Hae-Jin and Ryoo Joon-Yeol. Movie is the 4th film directed by Jang Hun and his first film since 2011 movie “The Front Line.” Story for “A Taxi Driver” is based on a true story and set around the Gwangju Uprising which took place May, 1980.

“A Taxi Driver” opens August, 2017 in South Korea.

Lee Kwang-Soo offered lead male role in drama series “Live”

Lee Kwang-Soo has been offered the lead male role in upcoming drama series “Live.” Actress Jung Yu-Mi has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Both performers are currently “positively considering” their offers. If Lee Kwang-Soo accepts, he will play the main character who works as a police officer. Lee Kwang-Soo previously worked with screenwriter No Hee-Kyung in tvN drama series “Dear My Friends” and SBS drama series “It’s Ok, This is Love.”

Filming for “Live” will begin sometime during the second half of this year.

Supporting cast and visual poster for TBS drama series “Maji de Koukai Shitemasu”

Main visual and supporting cast added for upcoming TBS-MBS drama series “Maji de Koukai Shitemasu” starring Marie Iitoyo and Rena Takeda. Now cast in supporting roles are Dori Sakurada, Yuhi (‘Boys and Men’), Yuki Izawa and Keita Ikemoto. The four newly announced supporting actors will play characters who team up with Marin Sakamoto (Marie Iitoyo) and Tsubame Ishikawa (Rena Takeda) in a training program for potential ship navigators. Also cast in the drama series are Keisuke Horibe, Yoichi Nukumizu, Kohki Okada and Seiko Iwaido.

For “Maji de Koukai Shitemasu,” Dori Sakurada will play Yamato Yagi. His character has a shy personality. Yuhi will play Arata Narumi. He likes to flex his muscles. Yuki Izawa will play Kensuke Kogure. He is 25-years-old and married. Lastly, Keita Ikemoto will play Shotaro Yamada. He is intelligent.

“Maji de Koukai Shitemasu” will first air July 2nd on MBS and July 4th on TBS in Japan.

Shin Hye-Sun offered lead female role in KBS2 weekend drama series “My Golden Life”

Actress Shin Hye-Sun has been offered the lead female role in upcoming KBS2 weekend drama series “My Golden Life” (literal title). Park Si-Hoo has already received an offer to play the lead male character. Both performers are now positively considering their offers. In addition, actor Lee Tae-Hwan has been offered a major supporting character role in the drama series. If Shin Hye-Sun accepts her offer, she will play Seo Ji-An. She grew in a wealthy family, but her father’s business collapsed. She now works as a contract employee at Haesung Company.

“My Golden Life” first airs August 26, 2017 in South Korea.

Seo Hyun-Jin offered lead female role in drama series “Temperature of Love”

Seo Hyun-Jin has been offered the lead female role in new drama series “Temperature of Love” (literal title). Seo Hyun-Jin is currently considering the offer. The drama series is based on 2013 novel “Chakhan Seupeuneun Jeonhwareul Bakji Anneunda” by Ha Myung-Hee and she will also write the screenplay. Ha Myung-Hee’s past drama series screenplays include “Doctors,” “High Society” and “A Word From Warm Heart.”

If Seo Hyun-Jin accepts her offer, she will play Hyun-Soo. Her character hopes to become a drama series screenplay writer and she begins chatting under the username “Jane” with someone with the username “Good Soup.” They later meet in real life.

Although the broadcasting station has yet to be announced, SBS has been in discussions to air “Temperature of Love” potentially after “Falsify” in the autumn time frame.
