Teaser trailer for MBC drama special “Coach Maeng’s Troll”

Teaser trailer added for MBC drama special “Coach Maeng’s Troll” (literal title) starring Park Sung-Woong & Park Soo-Oh. The two episode drama special features Park Sung-Woong as a hot tempered pro basketball coach who is about to lose his job. He teams up with an online troll played by Park Soo-Oh. Actor Park Soo-Oh, who previously worked under the name of Park Sang-Hoon, recently signed with Keyeast Management and began working under the name of Park Soo-Oh.

“Coach Maeng’s Troll” will air May 23rd and 24th, 2025 in South Korea.

Kaya Kiyohara, Ryo Narita, & Na In-Woo cast in TBS drama “Hatsukoi Dogs”

Kaya Kiyohara, Ryo Narita, and Na In-Woo are cast in TBS drama series “Hatsukoi Dogs.” The drama series is based on South Korean webcomic “Doghan Romance” by Bo-Hyun and also marks the first time for actor Na In-Woo to appear in a Japanese drama series. The drama series will revolve around a love triangle between a divorce lawyer (Kaya Kiyohara), veterinarian (Ryo Narita), and a chaebol man (Na In-Woo), but with a strange twist.

“Hatsukoi Dogs” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Who Does Housework Anymore?“).

See list of winners & nominees at the 61st BaekSang Arts Awards

See list of winners and nominees at the just concluded 61st BaekSang Arts Awards. The award show, hosted by Shin Dong-YubBae SuzyPark Bo-Gum, took place earlier this evening in Seoul. Big winners included movie “Harbin” (which won Grand Prize and Best Film) and drama series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” (which won four prizes including Best Drama). Other notable winners in the drama series section included Ju Ji-Hoon winning “Best Actor” for “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” and Kim Tae-Ri winning “Best Actress” for “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born.” For the movies section, Cho Jung-Seok won “Best Actor” for “Pilot” and Jeon Do-Yeon won “Best Actress” for “Revolver.”

Sadawo Abe & Takako Matsu cast in TV Asahi drama “Shiawasena Kekkon”

Sadawo Abe and Takako Matsu are cast for lead roles in TV Asahi drama series “Shiawasena Kekkon.” The mystery marriage drama series will have Sadawo Abe and Takako Matsu play two people who meet in the hospital and decide to get married. The wife also carries a secret. Sadawo Abe and Takako Matsu previously played a married couple in 2015 movie “A Farewell to Jinu.” Drama series “Shiawasena Kekkon” features an original screenplay by Shizuka Oishi (“Mothers in Love“).

“Shiawasena Kekkon” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Thursday 9PM time slot after “Pararescue Jumper“).

Teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Our Unwritten Seoul” starring Park Bo-Young & Jin Young. The teaser trailer is the 3rd teaser released for the drama series and is titled “Mi-Ji and Ho-Su” (names of the two lead characters). The two lead characters, Yoo Mi-Ji (Park Bo-Young) and Lee Ho-Su (Jin Young), grew up in a small town and graduated from the same school. Their lives diverged at that point, but they meet again by chance in Seoul. Launching teaser poster and release date set for movie “My Daughter is a Zombie” starring Cho Jung-Seok, Lee Jung-Eun, Choi Yoo-Ri, & Cho Yeo-Jeong. The zombie comedy-drama is directed by Pil Gam-Seong (“Hostage: Missing Celebrity“) and based on webcomic “Zombiega Dweeeobeorin Naui Ddal” by Lee Yoon-Chang. Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Dear Hongrang” starring Lee Jae-Wook & Cho Bo-Ah. The period mystery-romance drama series depicts a story that develops mysterious feelings between Hong-Rang (Lee Jae-Wook) and his older step-sister Jae-Yi (Cho Bo-Ah). Hong-Rang returns after going missing for 12 years, but he has lost his memories. His older step-sister Jae-Yi  is the only one who suspects his true identity. Minami Hamabe and Ren Meguro cast in movie “Hodonaku, Owakare Desu”

Minami Hamabe and Ren Meguro are cast in movie “Hodonaku, Owakare Desu.” Movie is based on 2022 novel of same name by Amane Nagatsuki. The movie’s screenplay adaptation is scripted by Takaaki Honda (“Yakusoku“) and directed by Takahiro Miki (“Love Me, Love Me Not“). Story for “Hodonaku, Owakare Desu” will have Minami Hamabe play Misora Shimizu. She begins to work as an intern at a funeral home. She is mentored by Reiji Urushibara played by Ren Meguro.

“Hodonaku, Owakare Desu” will be released February, 2026 in Japan.
