Haruka Fukuhara & Kento Hayashi cast in Fuji TV drama “Ashita wa Motto, Ii Hi ni Naru”

Haruka Fukuhara and Kento Hayashi are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Ashita wa Motto, Ii Hi ni Naru.” The drama series features an original screenplay that is set at a child guidance center. Haruka Fukuhara will play Tsubasa Natsui. She worked as a detective at a local precinct, but is transferred to the child guidance center. Kento Hayashi will play Sosuke Kurata. He works at the child guidance center and becomes a mentor to Tsubasa Natsui.

“Ashita wa Motto, Ii Hi ni Naru” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 9PM time slot after “Second To Last Love 3“).

Jung Hae-In & Ha-Young cast in Netflix drama “Lovestuck”

Jung Hae-In and Ha-Young are cast in Netflix drama series “Lovestuck.” The drama series is a romantic-comedy, but tells an unusual tale between a former gang member, now boxing coach (Jung Hae-In) and a prosecutor (Ha-Young). Drama series is scripted by Mo Ji-Hye and directed by Kim Jang-Han. They previously worked together in 2021 Wavve drama series “You Raise Me Up.”

Release date for “Lovestuck” has not yet been revealed.

Main cast announced for ENA drama “Salon de Holmes”

Lee Si-Young, Jung Young-Joo, Kim Da-Som, & Nam Gi-Ae are cast in ENA drama series “Salon de Holmes.” The women’s action drama series is based on 2019 novel “Salon de Holmes” by Jeon Gun-Woo and directed by Min Jin-Ki (“New Recruit“). All four women will play residents at Gwangsun Jugong Apartment in the drama series. They work together to solve problems and punish villains there. Lee Si-Young will play Kong Mi-Ri, who doesn’t miss details like a good detective. Jung Young-Joo will play Chu Kyeong-Ja. She is a former detective and known as the “Female Ma Dong-Seok” of the apartment complex. Kim Da-Som will play Park So-Hee. She is known as the “Queen of Part-time Jobs.” Nam Gi-Ae will play Jeon Ji-Hyun. She is a former insurance queen and now runs a grocery store there.

“Salon de Holmes” will first air June 16, 2025 in South Korea (takes over ENA’s Monday & Tuesday 10 PM time slot after “Tastefully Yours“).

Han Suk-Kyu cast in tvN drama “Mr. Shin’s Project”

Han Suk-Kyu is cast in tvN drama series “Mr. Shin’s Project” (literal title). Drama series is scripted by Ban Ki-Ri (“Missing: The Other Side“) and directed by Shin Kyung-Soo (“The First Responders“). For “Mr. Shin’s Project,” Han Suk-Kyu will play title character Mr. Shin. He runs a neighborhood chicken restaurant, but also acts as the neighborhood negotiator whenever problems arise between neighbors.

“Mr. Shin’s Project” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Nao cast in WOWOW drama “Beauty Salon in Prison”

Actress Nao is cast in WOWOW drama series “Beauty Salon in Prison.” The drama series is based on 2018 novel “Hei no Naka no Biyoshitsu” by Mina Sakurai, which was also adapted into a manga series in 2020. The premise of a beauty salon in a women’s prison that the novel depicts is based on real beauty salons that exists in several women’s prison in Japan. Nao will play Haru Komatsubara. She cuts the hair of ordinary citizens at a beauty salon within a women’s prison.

“Beauty Salon in Prison” consists of 7 episodes and will first air August 22, 2025 in Japan.

Kim Go-Eun cast in TVING drama “Yumi’s Cells S3”

Kim Go-Eun is cast in TVING drama series “Yumi’s Cells S3.” Drama series is based on webcomic “Yumi’s Cells” by Lee Dong-Gun and is a sequel to 2021 tvn-TVING drama series “Yumi’s Cells” and 2022 TVING drama series “Yumi’s Cells S2.” The series combines live-action and animation scenes involving cells within Kim Yu-Mi’s (Kim Go-Eun) body. Screenwriter Song Jae-Jung and Director Lee Sang-Yeob will also return for S3 after working together on the first two seasons.

“Yumi’s Cells S3” will be available to stream during the first half of 2026.
