Fumino Kimura and Raul cast in Fuji TV drama “Ai no, Gakko”

Fumino Kimura and Raul are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Ai no, Gakko.” Drama series features an original screenplay by Yumiko Inoue and directed by Hiroshi Nishitani. Screenwriter Yumiko Inoue and Director Hiroshi Nishitani has previously worked together in 2019 Fuji TV drama series “Sherlock: Untold Stories,” 2014 Fuji TV drama series “Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon,” 2005 Fuji TV drama series “Engine,” 2003 Fuji TV drama series “The Great White Tower,” and 2017 movie “Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon.” In “Ai no, Gakko,” Fumino Kimura will play high school teacher Manami Ogawa and Raul will play host bar worker Kawol. They meet through circumstances and develop a romantic relationship. For actor Raul, this will mark his first time starring in a prime time drama series and a Fuji TV drama series.

“Ai no, Gakko” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Thursday 10PM time slot after “A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You“).

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Manami Ogawa (Fumino Kimura) teaches at a high school. She was raised by parents who were conservative and strict. She has followed their wishes, including becoming a teacher. She is currently dating a man who was introduced to her by her father. The man has proposed to her, but Manami Ogawa has hesitated to say yes, because some of his past remarks has bothered her. She is not happy at her workplace either. There are unreasonable parents to deal with and some of her students don’t pay attention during classes. One day, she hears that one of her students has been deceived by an unscrupulous host. She goes to the host bar where he works. The host is named Kawol (Raul). This is how they meet for the first time and their relationship begins.
